Recuva has stopped Secure ovewite.

Next release?? I just installed I assumed the latest version of Recuva V.1.53.1087 October 2016. I didn't see any 'Thunderbird'. And I am having the very same problem of 'Secure Overwrite' grayed out. Should I go back to an older version?
