  1. Updates: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/72d630a8090fbcc6eab0db830bc4d215be94a521 So instead of just linking all the changes I have done to Winapp2, I will just link the changes that only effect what users have posted here. Of course, users should always update their copy of Winapp2 to get all the changes.
  2. A whole lot of updates: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/b831fabed197883b333d900b02c5c86e7d87003f https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/2890a2d04874e257a077fc1ca329c7a20df0c7a2 https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/b5b47fc358cec0b94238e65824819900f87fcf17 https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/f0f3d9573ce7b0b465a05f39105e4ff0dac5fa77 https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/a1e43129fe514c930531e4cb702590a0f89844f7
  3. These are just change logs from stuff I updated from here, stuff I merged via PRs, and stuff I fixed with Winapp2ool. PRs get merged separately and I usually use Winapp2ool lastly. It's also another way of letting users know that Winapp2 was updated so they can download the latest file.

  5. Just for the record, several Anti-virus are detecting Winapp2ool as false positives. I am in the process of getting this resolved. The AVs that are detecting Winapp2ool as malicious are Endgame, Crowdstrike Falcon, and Zemana. You can keep track of this issue here: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/issues/199

The new names are "Chrome/Chromium based browsers" and "Mozilla based browsers". This name is already taken, so I left this one as [Bing Maps *].

  14. When we did both overhauls, most entries had RegKey under FileKey, so we just moved the remaining ones to match that as it was easier. Anyways, it looks better with RegKey under FileKey and that is proper ABC order, too, and also it makes us look like we are not directly copying Winapp.
  15. Updates: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/69eda4b0228b5bf40af36ec8ecbfcb0815dba5e0
  16. Since we are getting mixed opinions on this, maybe a better solution would be to make Winapp2ool pick out all the entries with RECURSE and REMOVESELF and then have a way for the user to switch them. This way, if a user doesn't feel a entry with REMOVESELF is safe, they can use the tool and switch it to RECURSE and switch RECURSE to REMOVESELF if they don't want a pile up of empty folders.
  17. I fully understand your concerns. But to be honest, removing an empty folder usually doesn't break anything. There are no reports here that one of those (partially very old) entries causing trouble. If you create a pull request on GitHub I'm sure they will merge it. I thank you for your concerned about keeping users safe with Winapp2. Some of the entries you have pointed out have been in Winapp2 for a long time now, and so far no one has been reporting any issues with them. If a program is breaking due to this, I will gladly fix it for you. Ultimately, both the software and Windows a

  19. I remember a user requested this entry due to a bug in the program that prevented them from disabling the auto start, which is specified in the warning.
  20. Tons of updates: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/0b115d3aa2870b22ed2fc58fadef9516d5d3e8cf https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/bd9e60092aa65ff9fac84a0a651c52690cb915c9
  21. A user a long time ago posted the old winsys.ini on GitHub, but we ignored it. Now that we are on GitHub with a centralized community and have more members then before, we could try again. The old winsys.ini is still there on GitHub.

If it causes issues on systems, then it doesn't belong in the main file. You can always add it back yourself. Please let me know if we missed an entries. I assume Robert got most of them, other then the 2 Smalik mentioned before.
  24. A few updates were released today to fix some regressions from the overhaul, 1 in slim cleaner and 1 in internet explorer. Please update your Winapp2 copy.
  25. So today, we merged the big PR and is now ready to be used for everyone. You will notice a significant change with Winapp2 with this update, compared to the old file. We have removed over 2000 lines from Winapp2, the # of entries has dropped from ~2500 to 2110, and the file size has dropped ~30-40kb, all without decreasing Winapp2's cleaning coverage.. The changes include many entries being merged, however, stuff like cache and backup entries were kept separate, reorganizing and alphabetizing all the entries, and all new additions from the community since the last update should also be in
