  1. XPY runs on win10, but doesn't work properly, but also hasn't been updated since 2014. Does that count?
  2. With a possible chance of an extension when they add up the results this summer.
  3. Well it is good you found a use for it. Have you tried Adwcleaner? It is owned by Malwarebytes, but not yet merged with their anti-malware. It found a hidden malware on my system that was causing CMD pop ups all the time and Malwarebytes was missing it. Anyways, I expect once Windows 7 stops receiving updates, lots of AVs will be shutting down or be bought out by another company, especially the ones using Bit Defender engine as well as MSE and Microsofts malicious software removal tool, because 8/10 have Windows Defender.
  4. People like having 1 product that does it all. Spybot use to be a small tool, but now they use the Bit Defender engine. I don't think Super Antispyware will be around much longer either. I don't think people have much need for a stand-alone anti-spyware anymore, let alone having more then 1 AV either. The only tool I can think of that's still stand alone and still being updated that isn't owned by a big time company would be Trojan Hunter, but I heard Malwarebytes has been looking into acquiring them and I even suggested them to acquire it, too.

  6. Goodluck with that. Even Alternativeto isn't popping up with much result (at least none that are still being updated). Most small tools like that have been bought out by big AV companies and have been merged with their programs. You could try Malwarebytes anti-rootkit, but I do not know if they are still updating the stand along program.
  7. Updated: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/b8e9ab193d78715cba4e8d76b6fd6d6ae8eabb1e We could probably just take out the [Recent Items More*] entry.
  8. I think we can just use 1 detect in Office More now, since it is all them in 1 now. So Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office should work.
  9. It is a re-release to fix a security vulnerability.
  10. Firefox recently changed the way nightly builds are delivered. They now release a build every time a commit is done. This actually sped up progress a little because now they can pinpoint where exactly a bug happened, so they don't need the developer build anymore. They can combine them into one now. They will probably stick with the every month release cycle, but we will probably more features in every update now. On a unrelated note, Firefox 53 now requires Rust compiler. 53 actually runs a lot faster for me then 52 did. I am guessing they are getting really close to officially being done transferring to Rust.

  12. Yes, I been using Kodi for a long time. Like it better then Netflix/prime/hulu/etc. It has unlimited content on it. The content that is in Kodi has nothing to do with Kodi itself, as the developers do not manage it. Yes, there can be illegal stuff in it, but Kodi itself is really good. It is actually a big part of the FOSS world, too.
  13. Updated: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/ed9b3f16587fa3eaa33fe15cccb471b6d5edea52
  14. I made all the corrections and have moved the development build to stable: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commits/master Thank you everyone for helping with overhauling Winapp2.
  15. You can't have 2 names the same in CCleaner, so "more" must be used if that entry exists in CCleaner already.
  16. Been using Waterfox (which is native 64-bit) for over a year now and never had any issues with plugins or extensions. Many plugins/extensions have been 64-bit long before win64 builds were release because Linux and Mac had 64-bit builds for a long time.
  17. Updates: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/6ecfd9cf5e6cf6a453250c2e088328585751132f https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/cb4c26da287d6b1ba996b0faf1fbe356a00ca0e5 I did a quick comparing with Winapp1 and everything seemed to be fine. It's a little hard to do since Winapp1 is not very well organized, but from what I could tell, everything seemed alright as is. if there are no issues with the current development build of Winapp2, I will go ahead and consider it stable for the public to use.
  18. I mean I could move them to the removed entries file, but if none of the cleaners even runs on 9.x/Me, I don't really see much of a point. I suppose it could be possible to run Winapp2 through a batch script on Windows ME, but ME was a very poor OS and was not popular at it's time, I can't imagine many people are still running it. This is going to sound stupid of me, but I can't seem to find where CCleaner stores the Winapp1 file anymore. It use to be in it's directory in Program Files, but it doesn't seem to be there anymore. Does Piriform not allow anyone to modify Winapp1 anymore?
  19. I believe OpenOffice has officially been discontinued and the developers are going to be combining LibreOffice and OpenOffice into one. All the work has moved to LibreOffice. OpenOffice actually suffers from some security holes that the few remaining developers that stayed behind before it discontinued couldn't patch out. Anyways, I like LibreOffice and I use to use that when I was in school.
  20. Updates: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/6c19dca3f3257e436977bdc739dec778aa8c7d8b https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/3d3fb65c537303093f855d68addea48095bdd7e2 This is the last of all the big, major stuff for overhauling Winapp2. I will then look over Winapp1 and compare and remove duplicate entries from Winapp2, then I think if no issues arose, Winapp2 can be considered stable again.
  21. Remove entries: [Windows Live OneCare*] LangSecRef=3022 Detect=HKLM\Software\Microsoft\OneCare Protection Default=False FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows Live OneCare Saftey Scanner|*.sqm|RECURSE The built in disk cleaner does all the same cleaning that onecare did, the registry cleaner was highly unstable in this program, and the database for malware is all in MSE/Windows Defender. [Windows ME*] LangSecRef=3025 DetectFile=%WinDir%\WINFILE.EXE Default=False FileKey1=%SystemDrive%|SCANDISK.LOG FileKey2=%WinDir%|*.tmp FileKey3=%WinDir%\Application Data|dw.log FileKey4=%WinDir%\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs|*.* FileKey5=%WinDir%\APPLOG|*.LGC FileKey6=%WinDir%\Windows Update Setup Files|*.* None of the programs that runs Winapp2 can even run on Windows ME. [WireShark Recent Files*] LangSecRef=3024 DetectFile=%AppData%\Wireshark\ Default=False Warning=This will remove custom view settings, like window sizes and hidden toolbars, formatting and last-used profiles. FileKey1=%AppData%\Wireshark|recent;recent_common It removes custom settings. [XBMC Cache*] LangSecRef=3023 DetectFile=%AppData%\xbmc Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Xbmc\cache|*.*|RECURSE [XBMC Packages*] LangSecRef=3023 DetectFile=%AppData%\xbmc Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Xbmc\addons\packages|*.*|RECURSE [XBMC Thumbnails*] LangSecRef=3023 DetectFile=%AppData%\xbmc Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\xbmc\userdata\thumbnails|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%AppData%\xbmc.old\userdata\thumbnails|*.*|RECURSE XBMC is Kodi now, so no reason to have old XBMC entries anymore.
  22. Updates: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/00df9ced92a0eeaefc33848d1d3e7f7a21a46a0e Updates: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/f04e117e6a58713014d856d170d4275b73865af4 The next update or 2, I should be done with all the major, big stuff. After that, I will compare entries with Winapp and then after that, some through testing should be done to make sure nothing broke in the process.
  23. Update: https://github.com/MoscaDotTo/Winapp2/commit/665b4910199394cc98707d9e0d43fd2c576ecff7 The next major update will probably come after Sunday (Easter).
  24. Well I have them in my host file for about a month now and nothing has been broken to me, so far. Anyways, use them if you want, I only wanted to share in case anyone wanted to give a little boost to their networking.
  25. Do we need 2 detects on the Windows Shellbags? The first detect covers the whole Windows registry section, including the ShellNoRoam entry that is in the 2nd detect. Maybe just one or the other is fine.
