no, you dont have to re-install all your contacts. just un-install it and then install the latest version, WLM 8.0no, but would i have to reinstall all my contacts? that would be a huge pain! how do i get myself into these problems all time!

Alpha means that it hasnt reached beta stage yet.
Beta means that it has passed alpha stage yet but still isnt "quite there yet".
Sometimes a beta is followed up by a Pre-Release before the stable release.
i downloaded it and installed it and then uninstalled it about 5 minutes later because it kept crashing on me. i think i'll download it when the full version is out.

Apple pips its rivals with the iPod that talks

FROM Walkman to Talkman. Not content with changing the world's music-listening habits, Apple has come up with another innovation: the talking iPod.
A new generation of machines will use sophisticated software to convert the names of bands, albums and individual tracks into recognisable speech.
The new iPod will tell you what it is about to play, removing the need for users to look at the screen while selecting music, and making the device safer and easier to use while driving, cycling or in badly-lit locations.
Crucially, the talking machines could give the iPod a badly-needed new competitive edge in the hotly-contested digital music player market.
The iconic machines were last week reported to have lost some of their sheen, with consumers following a series of technical problems and controversy surrounding the working conditions of those who make them. To make matters worse, software giant Microsoft is said to be working on its own iPod-bashing digital music player.
Apple has flatly refused to comment on the design, but a patent lodged by the company in the United States makes clear the sixth generation of iPods will be able to convert those famous text menus into speech.
The ingenious system will rely on home PC processing power and clever software. The computer being used to download tracks will analyse each album title, song name and artist and convert them into sound files. These will be loaded into the iPod, along with the song files.

didnt you read my first post? it said i tried it on all my computers (3) <- - - meaning i have tried on 3 different computers.

care to elaborate on how it works, both how and how well...
its like what zaphirer said. although when i used it i didnt have a delay. it was just like a normal keyboard except for the feel of course. i think its a great invention. especially you dont have an actual keyboard there containing alot of your space on the computer desk.I've used that at a mall, a year ago or so. A IR laser beam points at different spots on the keyboard and 'activtes' when the beam is broken. It's cool, and doesn't feel weird, but there is a slight delay when typing. Hopefully that was resolved in the newer version, like the one in the cell phone.

You really need to know the name and model make if you are going to google for driver and firmware updates. First get that info.
I have had a quick look around for Teclast, it's not easy as they are nearly all Chinese sites and don't translate well.

gday everyone,
every time when i startup my computer and its finished loading to the windows screen i have this error message coming up. i have no idea what it means and i have run all the spyware and virus programs but that doesnt seem to work.
what shall i do?
i have attached a picture to what it says.
