One of the things I remember most about dialup was the sound as it dialed to connect.

Well maybe he is not an expert and maybe you can't do anything better than what he did in your own thing so we can't just judge him like that.
And you have to consider the possibility that what you see on Youtube can be fake. You see that they have shown those videos on fast forward and notice how straightly they made those lines? Applying paint layers, barely using the magnifier tool to make a fine coloring. If I was using an average mouse to draw, I can't do that for ten to a hundred years.
I believe that an artist is an artist in his own will and you don't need to make a Mona Lisa to prove that. Mona Lisa is originally by Da Vinci without those fancy fast forward showoffs. If you make a Mona Lisa, it may seem UNORIGINAL so that degrades artistic sense.
Look at abstract painting for instance, you can't immediately find out what takes shape, you need to create your own definition of what that image means and that for me is art.
I have no claim on talent - but he was failing to recognize some simple effects that another member had done. I'm not saying that you have to create something as good as these people's work to be considered an artist, but his ignorant comments about what the program can and can't be used for are what set me off. I realize abstract art is art in it's own right - I respect it for what it is. I prefer certain types of art, but I can still see art for what it is - a creation that can be interpreted by both the creator and viewer - and having different interpretations is one of the pluses of art.
Yeah, there's a lot of fake stuff on Youtube, but I can correctly assume that either of these two wasn't doing this just to show off and fake something. Hell, if it is fake, it still took a lot of work to do that. But the guy who did the Mona Lisa - look at his profile page. Youtube profile page link The whole sped up thing is cause these things do take a lot of time. He works in other mediums as well, some very unorthodox - and really cool .
My point is that some people have the talent to make some pretty amazing things with simple programs. I was not dissing one person because of a "lower skill" level or set of talents, but his comment about another member doing something in Paint that was "impossible" was just false and ignorant.
But enough thread derailment. I haven't created new pieces of art as much as photoshopped stuff together. I'll provide links because the ones I have are from Imageshack.

I read through that topic - that guy Bill is an idiot. Go to youtube, search drawing a car in paint, or drawing the Mona Lisa in paint, and it can be done, it's just SUPER time intensive.

That bill guy is a full of fail.

First of all, call your credit card company, because CCleaner is free for use, with donations acceptable. You should have downloaded it from here: http://www.ccleaner.com/
Second, CCleaner is used for cleaning temporary files, so it won't do what you want.
If you know how to burn an ISO to a disk, download this program. Active @ KillDisk This will wipe your system clean.

Gotcha - that's so weird Hazel. And I've been using the site for a while and no one had noted that. I'm sorry for that. But I had moved away from ImageShack. Any suggestions?

That's so weird - can you go to the Desktop backgrounds page in the Lounge and see if it does it for mine there?? When I clicked here on my initial two pictures, I was able to replicate it. But after I posted them again, I wasn't able to duplicate it.

None of you has got anything better than this one lol.
What you see there on the small Windows Media Center screen is live TV, guys.
Notice the sidetray on the taskbar??? I got very few programs that run on startup. Only the desktop gadgets and the antivirus.
Live TV - yeah, if you have a TV tuner it's pretty straight forward. No offense, it's nothing special to be perfectly honest. I don't even run gadgets - at least use a decent CPU meter: Download here You probably have stuff hidden in the arrow on the task bar any ways .

Revo Uninstaller free version- http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninst...e_download.html. Pretty self explanatory.

That's UAC - if you went from XP to 7, it's been there forever - you'll have to disable UAC in the Control Panel - unless there's something I'm not aware of.

The second thing is you are asking about is piracy. Such matters on these forums aren't discussed - this topic maybe locked. So don't do it or talk about it.
I thought http://why.openoffice.org/index.html (OpenOffice) would have an equivalent, but there isn't. Microsoft Office isn't all that expensive these days.

CCleaner is not a program uninstaller - it has the option but it just runs the Windows uninstaller. First of all download this program - Revo Uninstaller (CNet Link). Find the program in there and delete it. You might have to go into the Program Files folder on your C drive, find it and delete everything. CCleaner will be able to delete the older registry values with the Registry tool, which is maybe what your friend is talking about though.

I do know that you can click the area between the URL and the Search bar and drag it left and right to resize both of them. So I feel like if you move the URL to the left, the Search bar will come with it. So I'm not sure if that will help you in any way.

Anyone watching it? I know we have a very diversified member body, from all over the world. This is during the really long red flag break. Had to switch to the Olympics for the luge competition.
