Honestly - please use either Firefox or Chrome. Such a more pleasurable experience. Infinitely customizable. Faster. More secure. Heck, I'd even tell you to use Opera over IE, and I'm not a fan of it.

I can hear it spin down after a period of inactivity. It seems to be about 5 minutes.....
I have a Maxtor OneTouch that's 500 GB's - it does spin down when I'm not using it. It can be plugged into my laptop, but if I don't access it, I can hear it spin down. It is plugged in power wise at all times.

does it really matter what the case is? If i want to copy a dvd for a back up who in the world can stop me or do anything about it?
This. The laws are so weird everywhere. If I want to make a legit copy so I can protect the original and let the copy get beat up, than I should be able to. If I bought it, I should have some rights of usage other than just playing it.

I read this Maximum PC Article, so I downloaded it last night. The code name was Loretz, and it updated today to Namoroka today. Oddly enough, the 3.7 Alpha 2 version has this as well, except only AdBlock works out of my set of addons. Intresting having so many browsers installed.

This is a remake - the video on the left is the original, the one on the right is the remake - it's a freind's friend's final project.

CCleaner is not a power uninstaller - it will however remove unwanted registry entries once it's uninstalled. However, Symantec has a Norton specific uninstaller - ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_...emoval_Tool.exe - That is a direct link however. Also, Revo Uninstaller is a very good uninstaller program. Either one should do the trick. However, Norton 2009 and 2010 are much better than the older version, so I would leave it till the trial ran out, and then i would uninstall it and install something like AVG or Avast!

Ninite's legit. My cousin and I have used it a lot - and it was reviewed by MaximumPC.

I like the 2009 one cause of the light feel to it. I don't know - the other ones feel, older.

Why didn't I think of that? I'm gonna do that for all 168 portable apps in the LiberKey ultimate build. Who needs a front end when I can just navigate 168 directories on my flash drive?
Hey- I'm trying to help you - don't have to be so sarcastic. What's the big deal about just installing it to your PC any ways? It takes up so little room. But it's one program in addition to the front end. I don't get why it's such a big deal - why do you have to run stuff from an external drive - hard drives are huge these days. If you have LiberKey with your 167 apps, and CCleaner on it's own, oh look, a few more clicks and you still have a great program to run.

Great job as always Mr.G - Facebook page has been updated.

Why don't you just go here and install this portable version. It doesn't have to use some other companies front end.

Can you provide links? It would be a great help. However, I'm going to be the first, but I won't be the only, to say that you should consider saving up and purchasing a new machine. It would be worth it in the long run.

Umm...Liberkey definitely looks like a knock off of PortableApps.com. And CCleaner has no compable substitute. That's a fact.

Did you try logging off, wait a little bit, and then log back in? It's possible you went into a Temporary Profile. I did have a corrupted profile about 3 weeks ago. Was able to make a new one and move my files over - just a large inconvenience more than anything.

There are two links here on this page CCleaner download page. There is one for Filehippo, and one from CCleaner direct. Try from Filehippo first, and then the CCleaner one if it doesn't work. Report back to see what happened.
