Were you scanning with the crap cleaner portion or the registry cleaner?

I feel like this is a failed spam post - but I could be wrong.

I had that happen about a year and a half ago... I don't know what happened but it just stopped. I don't know if it was forum update, Firefox update, or what. (Chrome wasn't out, and I hate IE )

32 bit is old news... 64 bit is here and should be the only bit version of it. 4 gigs of RAM is too little for the majority of power users, and the system requirements aren't different because the majority of newer processors are already compatible. Microsoft has the power to force manufactures to update their programs because Windows is the market leader. 64 bit is here, and should be the standard for 8.

Try the vista software - but before you run it, right click on it, and switch it to Vista compatibility and see if it can work.

I swear I read somewhere about a new harddrive spec that my effectively start to kill of XP machines... let me dig for it.
Will be back later to edit.

Personally I hope it's going to be 64 bit only. With that in place, hopefully they can do some serious improvements on it that we haven't even thought of. I heard of a rumor of it possibly being 128 bit, but there's really no need, considering people haven't hit the 64 bit RAM limit, and won't for some time.

I use Revo Uninstaller for everything now - no matter what it is.

Just as a double check, SpeedFan is a dedicated utility for monitoring the temperatures. http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php . See if you get close temperatures.

Slowday, list your specs...if you don't even have an AGP slot, your system sounds seriously outdated. Like - immediate upgrade.

I thought IE6 was featureless. I used FF back then but switched back to IE with tabbed browsing in IE7.
Unfortunately I'm still stuck with IE6 at work ... large public-sector departments tend to move forwards at dinosaur pace and our corresponding dev environment is no exception.
What I meant was that in just IE terms, I felt like since 6 it's just been full of bloat and junk. I've been using Firefox since late 1.X/early 2.X and have never looked back. I'm just saying if I had to use it, I could forgo tabbed browsing and use it over IE 7/8. Firefox and Chrome are what I roll with 99.99% of the time.

Who uses Greasemonkey for either Firefox or Chrome? I just discovered the advantages of it and love it. I don't expect this to get pinned, but I wanted users to share what scripts they found useful and if they could post a link to them. What's nice about Chrome is that they just install without a separate add-on - they're totally integrated.

Downloaded, running and updated the Piriform Facebook!!! Great job guys.

Great finish for anyone who watched. I wanted Earnhardt Jr. to win when I saw the momentum he had. But I'm happy for Jamie McMurrary - he's a true racer and his feelings/emotions really came through during the ending interview. Great race, except for the two long red flags. I think they now need to repave Daytona haha.
