if there no free space between files the files should not be moved
only if there is free space between them they should be moved so there together
-
i noticed that defragmenting my drive is so slow and it will move same files that don't need moving
even if i let it defrag whole drive then i defrag again it moves same files all over again
i understand if there is free space between files it has to move files around but it was no free space between files
it just keeps moving same files out then back in to same location
i can't use defraggler anymore because of this issue
please fix this issue soon
thank you

i hope there will be a fix soon

i need to know if defraggler is corrupting other files too
need tools to verify files integrity

when i defrag system restore files they get somehow corrupted
The last time i used defraggler i defragged the system restore point files and later i had to do a system restore and every restore points failed
system = windows xp pro
need some expert input
i need some tools to prove if the files have been changed or corrupted by defraggler
i need tools the will tell me if they have been modified in any way
thank you

in my years of experience i highly do not recommend using any registry Defragmentation programs because Ive had experience of the registry getting corrupted and there is no benefit
also never use any registry cleaners you will always mess up the computer that way
instead use a disk Defragmentation programs only
-
i would like defraggler to defrag like perfectdisk
-
but defraggler really needs this below on next build version
sorting files by last modified date
1:rarely modified files 30 days or more at beginning of drive including boot files
2: occasionally modified files in between
3:frequently modified files 30 days or less on end
defraggler needs this because it is pointless to defragment files all over the place without sorting them by modified date there's no benefit except some faster read times
especially for boot files and frequently and rarely modified used files
by sorting them by modified date the benefits are:
1: the read heads have to move less to find the needed files
2 big performance boost
3 less wearing on hard drive
4 less fragmented files
5 would not need to defragment drive so often
please add to defraggler soon
thank you
sorry for duplicate posts

i just retested this bug on jan 26 2011 and it still is there
i tested this bug again in i think in april 2011 with version Version 3.06.1433
major bug: cccleaner moves IE temporary folder
first time i noticed this bug when i could not delete any files from temporary files folders,cookies.history. Then i looked for my tempory files folder and saw it moved to temp C:\Documents and Settings\pc\Local Settings\Temp
then i moved it back to C:\Documents and Settings\pc\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
and everything was working normal
then i ran cccleaner to delete files in this folder and immediately the folder changed to the temp folder again
i tried everything else before
system info:
cccleaner v3.02.1343
OS: windows xp pro sp3 with all windows updates
using IE 6.0.2900.5512 sp3 with the lastest windows updates
i retested this bug with Version 3.06.1433 and it happened right after i deleted Temporary Internet Files right after i looked in browser and it changed location to C:\Documents and Settings\pc\Local Settings\Temp
hope you understand
please fix the problem soon
please keep this topic open so i can inform you of this problem with future versions

likly your system restore created files when idle
-
i also noice that problem when defraging freespace it creates fragamented files instead of defragging them and defragging free space
they need to fix that problem soon
-
1st bug wiping files with 1 wipe pass take too long 26MB takes 84 secs to wipe it should be alot faster
your misunderstanding 2nd bug when wiping free space it creates many files that are just 64KB in size that needs to be 300 MB or more at least other wise it will take forever to wipe large drives
other wipe apps create around 300 mB or more file sizes
I hope you understand
-
I beeen using your cccleaner every day but there some issues that need fixing
bug 1:
wiping files with 1 wipe pass take too long 26MB takes 84 secs to wipe
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
bug 2:
when wiping free space the created files are too small there are 146KB in size the file size needs to be larger
otherwise it will take forever to wipe large drives
please fix these problems soon
thank you very much
