What is the winapp2.ini that changes the Win 7 background wallpaper to be centered - not "fit" ? Also could a warning be made to whatever entry this would involve please?
-
[bugsplat*] is showing up even though I do not have any games installed. I have included the exported registry branch here.
REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bugsplat\Pando_Win]
I know Pando is not active any more but I would lik a better fix then just removing the above keys...
Also the "RegKey3=HKCU\Software\Bugsplat\Pando_win\Pando" item could be removed or placed in another winapp2.ini entry.

among others?
and I suppose I can do weekly releases. I just hate making http://www.winapp2.com/changes.html
I meant that you get some ideas, don't you, from http://singularlabs.com/forums/forum/ccenhancer/ ???
-
I'll probably resume them next month. I wanted to start again after the summer but things kept getting in the way. I'd've done it this month but I suspect an early ccleaner release will be on us for the holidays.
Would releasing new ones once a week - as much traffic as this thread gets - among others, be ok?

Any thoughts about releasing some interim updates between CCleaner updates?

I follow a few threads on here and have gotten email reminders when there is new messages. many of the posts in the emails are all together - no new lines; However they appear with new lines on the web site. For example - one such message is:
http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=183&do=findComment&comment=242964
I think the problem occurs when the message has a code block or whatever type that is not just solid test.
Please update the email software so this doesn't happen.
Many regards!!!

I have files in "C:\ProgramData\Temp" I am not sure if they are safe to delete and if yes, why CCleaner isn't cleaning them...

This may not apply to winapp2.ini solely but thohgtI'd post here anyway.
The Windows Disk Cleanup (cleanmgr.exe) can be set to cleanup the following areas: (using windows 7 64 bit)
- Temporary setup files
- Downloaded Program files
- Temporary Internet Files
- Offline pages
- debug dump files
- old chkdsk files
- previous windows installations
- recycle bin
- service pack backup files
- setup log files
- system error memory dump files
- """"""""""""""" minidump files
- temporary files
- temporary windows installation files
- files discarded by windows upgrade
- per user archived windows error reporting files
- per user queued """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
- system archived """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
- system queued """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
- windows upgrade log files
Which of these are already done by CCleaner (+ winapp2.ini) and their section and item names please?
Any more of these to be added ?
-
Just add a 2nd detect line to look at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp
Ignore the post I made a few minutes ago please.
-
re: HTML help
I searched the registry for hh.dat and HTMLHelp and didn't find good results. would this key work?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{de5aed00-a4bf-11d1-9948-00c04f98bbc9}
-
Please add a rule to remove:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\HTML Help\hh.dat
and name it HTML Help please

The entires for Macecraft's jv16 powertools are missing from winapp2.ini -

Hello. I ran CCleaner with updated winapp2.ini from Voldemort then did a drive search for both *.BAK and *.TMP files and have included the list. would someone be so kind as to write the necessary rules and add them to the next winapp2.ini please?
Thank you in advance....
-
I think it would help the discussion if you would post the log from the otheer program - at least where it found the temp and junk files. Also are you using the latest Winapp2.ini ?

I have searched the HDD and found several BAK and TMP files. Please do incorporate the folling into the winapp2.ini

I used jv16 Powertools 2014 to search for Pando and exported the list, which is attached.
