Microsoft is generally pretty good at offering CD's via snail mail for a small fee to cover the shipping+handling, which will probably be a necessity for people on dial-up whom don't have a friend that could download and burn then a copy.
I was lucky, I use to have dial up, but I got the SP2 CD sent to me for free

Sounds like typical MS pos bloat ware. That thing is huge. I am getting a Mac sooner rather than later.
It will probably include every update ever released to XP. I don't think thats bloatware..
It will be a great update and save lots of time formatting. Shame there is no new features, but its expected since the release of Vista..

another reason to not get vista
Yeah, it just keeps piling up

I'm glad to say I have never ever had AOL, or any of its software. I'm very happy with the current level of service from my ISP, Virgin.
I could not find any decent removal instructions for the browser though.

The reason for this lossage of confidence in Foxit Reader is that I've run into a handful of PDF documents that it either couldn't even open, or couldn't display properly something which 'ole bloated Adobe Reader never had a problem with. I recently received a 101 page PDF manual that was nothing but scrunched together text as displayed in Foxit Reader with zero separation of sentences and paragraphs, etc., which really had me wondering how it could be off that far, however at least doing a PDF to PDF conversion with the Media Convert website allowed it to display properly in Foxit Reader.
You should get the GDI+Module add-on for foxit reader which will probably fix this problem.

What does Java web start do by the way?

It would be nice, esp in the issues and cleaner results section if the option to shade every alternate line entry was there, to make the list a bit more readable.. Similar to say, Utorrents Alternate list background color so its easier to read through the list, similar to green bar paper
I concur with this!

Looks nice. I'm also eagerly anticipating the release of CCleaner v2!
-
Its true that CCleaner has become argubaly the internets #1 programme for cleaning junk files. I am glad its getting all the appraisal that it deserves.

I run the slim build from here, no toolbar, no language files, just CCleaner.
Yup same here. I hate the yahoo toolbar, but at least we have an option not to install it nonetheless.

Awesome. Piriform has worked hard on many new products and versions this summer!

I liked the look of the gui, that is why I posted the question. I haven't tried it, however, if any positive feedback comes in I will.
It looks more or less like the built in defrag from microsoft...

It looks very nice, oo I cant wait!!

Thanks. I always seem to lose my bookmarks once in a while. Even if I completely reinstall the programme, the problem still remains.

Im going to miss version 1.x
Thanks for the bug fixes

You can test if hot air rises by farting.

I was just wondering why bookmarks always seem to be lost on firefox, but never Internet Explorer?
Also, why have mozilla never resolved the issue. Are their any extensions that can help me? I prefer to save my bookmarks on my computer, rather then uploading them and having to register for any service.
Thanks.

When you say you read the guide, did you try windows selective startup?
I think you may have misread what Firery asked, open CCleaner, click tools, CLICK STARTUP so it shows what loads when you start your computer and post that list.
Yeah I tried it by unchecking them all except the first one, and then it still went really slow.
Whoops, I will repost that now:

I had the same problem with my belkin usb adapter. Constant nuisense. The Belkin router works fine, and I switched back to LAN and its all perfect. I use a linksys usb adapter for my other computer and it works fine.

After testing it for these days. I have to say that RealPlayer 11 has really become my number one choice for using it to view my videos and to listen to music. And the recording thing is awsome. I've been downloading all day. Mostly videos from YouTube. and just videos in general. Its so easy and so fast. I have not discovered any bugs yet and it hasn't even crashed once.
It makes me wander what will the final version be like if the first beta has already past all my expectations.
Conclusion
I give it a rating of 9.5/10.
It lost marks on its apperearance. Its similar to the WMP11.
what sort of quality are the recorded videos?

I think Firey was wanting to know if your computer is, and has always been, just a single computer not linked up with any others. Please mention if it has or is, as he may have a suggestion to help.
You could always try this troubleshooting guide here which may help discover what is causing the slow loading.
No, its never been linked with another computer. The only remote possbility to that, is that I share an internet conenction using a router, but the two computers are not linked in any way.
I will start reading that guide.

Does it do the same in safe mode?
In safe mode its quite fast.
What is a domain??
I don't think it's anything to do with spyware, viruses etc. Im quite cautious and got the necessary protection.
Windows 7 already in pipeline

Although it will be released in 2010 or probably later, its still worth discussion.

Ok, its wikipedia, but its still worth the read.

Paul Thurrott doesn't give much away either...
Are Microsoft really running out of ideas? Voice recognition improvements are still on the pipeline, but does that mean that we will slowly move away from keyboard and mice? I don't know about you, but I still prefer to type, rather then speak into a computer.
