  1. About the only Sony products I like including the PlayStation consoles are their high-end consumer electronics such as home theaters, and t.v.'s which happen to not be available in any store I've ever visited as they typically carry the usual low priced junk that can compete price-wise with not so popular brands.

  2. An easy way to get spam is by signing up for legit contests where you can win stuff like a car, computer, etc. Many of the contest rules will state that your supplied info will be used for marketing research which in short means you may start receiving email from such companies and those they share the info with.

  3. For now there's a work around:

    1. Open Regedit and go to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\CCleaner

    2. Click File->Export

    3. Save the .reg file in the CCleaner program folder as for example: CCleaner_Settings.reg

Now if you ever uninstall CCleaner just run the .reg file before you reinstall CCleaner.

  4. Although I agree it would be nice to have a version that operated as a single EXE with no dependencies.

That would be cool! Perhaps "CCleaner Portable" or whatever name. Another ideal would be to just have the main program as a standalone EXE that runs off a single INI file possibly "c:\windows\ccleaner.ini" with no usage of the registry whatsoever.

  5. I think that it is better to use 0.0.0.0 instead of 127.0.0.1

When you use 127.0.0.1 it can try establish a loopback connection to your computer which takes some time and resources.

That's why I have this in my HOSTS file:127.0.0.1      localhost  0.0.0.0      localhost

  6. We've seen one of the ugliest cars around. Here's the prettiest:

It's timeless! Too bad Ford couldn't use the original GT40 name.

I'd love to own a Ford GT however I still want all of these Aston Martin DB9, and this Brabus SLR McLaren, can't forget these Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Koenigsegg CCR, Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, Mosler MT 900S, Pagani Zonda Roadster, Shelby Cobra 427, Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, and Subaru Impreza WRX STI.

  7. The more I hear about the never ending story of Sony BMG's rootkit and the subsequent vulnerabilities it is causing the more I'm thinking of not getting a PS3, or any other Sony branded product.

  8. a good idea is to put the address in a picture, so it cant be automatically read by software.

Just wait until someone figures out how to reverse engineer some scanner software that can read text from a scanned image, then even a picture won't add any email address security from spammers.

  9. uunet is an annoyance that I block in the HOSTS file and in my web browsers. uunet constantly showed up in Sygate Personal Firewall logs back when I used it.

To block them in the HOSTS file input these:

    127.0.0.1 uu.com

    127.0.0.1 uu.net

    127.0.0.1 uunet.com

    127.0.0.1 uunet.net

    127.0.0.1 www.uu.com

    127.0.0.1 www.uu.net

    127.0.0.1 www.uunet.com

    127.0.0.1 www.uunet.net

To block them in Mozilla Suite, & Mozilla Firefox:

    uu.com

    uu.net

    uunet.com

    uunet.net

To block them in Internet Explorer:

    *.uu.com

    *.uu.net

    *.uunet.com

    *.uunet.net

  10. If this is the case it sounds like the stylesheet is not working.

Possible reason. I had to stop using Yahoo TV and switch to Zap2it TV Listings to get my weekly television schedule because Yahoo updated the site and in doing so made it virtually unusable with Opera and Mozilla Suite, and I surely won't use Internet Explorer just to get it.
