I really think that it's a fake picture. But then again, i really can't see why there couldn't be REALLY big snakes...somewhere.
-
It's totally safe to delete it. Shortly; it's just a file extension that has not been registered to open with any application.
-
Have you used Autoruns to disable some system drivers (.sys)? I once disabled some drivers, that i thought are not needed, and my optical drives werent recognized anymore.

I have bought cinnamon muffins few times. They are pretty good.

I have had Compaq PII, but i sold it, when i bought this current (custom build) computer. I bought that PII as used back in 2003. It was my first decent, real PC (and with internet connection). I really can't call my 386, which i still have (in my closet), a real PC.

-15,9 ?C here and plenty of snow. Hrr. Sun seems to shine.
It's 12pm here. Overall it's a nice winter day, even though a bit cold.

Well, at least "cabbagerolls" were one i didn't like. Don't know if i would like them now, probably not. I don't know if they are made outside of Finland? But other wise, i liked pretty much all foods.

Edit: Hmm, apparently they are made else where too: http://southernfood.about.com/od/cabbagema.../r/bl30620u.htm

That's why I only get the zipped version!
I always use a .zip version of any program, if available, and i'm aware of it.

Sounds good kenny.
It's snowing here too quite a lot.

It also wouldn't hurt to get the S.M.A.R.T. status of your hard disk, if it fails it's time for a new hard disk. HDTune Free can check it:
This is also pretty good: http://www.passmark.com/products/diskcheckup.htm
Free for personal use.

Right now it's -4C here in very southern part of the country (near Helsinki). Up in the north it's about -20C/-22C.

Minus few Celsius is just fine, because i like to ice-skate and play with a puck. Just came from skating. Tomorrow is suppose to be -8C.

I'm just guessing CeeCee, but davey probably got it from using the forum search
Oh yeah, probably. But i didn't mention that my birthday is in January. But i think he thought so, since i said mine is going to be soon.
-
I was going to say from your member profile info, however you don't have it listed.
Maybe Davey is psychic.
I wanna know how davey knows that, since i don't have it listed here. I have mentioned that i'm 30 on "how old are you" topic, but didn't mention when my birthday is.
-
How do you know when my birthday is?

Steven Gibson's tiny utilities help with these:
DCOMbobulator http://www.grc.com/freeware/dcom.htm
Shoot The Messenger http://www.grc.com/stm/shootthemessenger.htm
UnPlug n' Pray http://www.grc.com/unpnp/unpnp.htm
Test your ports https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2
Note: Your router or hardware firewall will block these probes.
Yeah, but that WWDC is also good, and comes with "all in one". It's also just one single file and 50,0kt.

One good thing to do, is close some of Windows pesky ports, that you don't need anyway. Like these ports: DCOM, RPC, Universal Plug N Play and Messenger (has nothing to do with MSN Messenger). You can close all those ports with this utility: http://www.firewallleaktester.com/wwdc.htm (Compatible : Windows 2000 / XP / 2003 server)
But NOTE: Do not close NetBIOS, because you can lose your internet connection. Use this method instead: http://irt.stanford.edu/security/howto/disable-netbios.html

Here's the programs I mainly use:
Opera, Thunderbird, IrfanView, BitComet (0.70), CCleaner, TeraCopy, BSPlayer (1.38) and UltimateZip. And when ever I need; for burning: Nero and ImgBurn.
Avast, Sygate and Ad Muncher are running all the time in the background. I also use SpywareBlaster.
For audio/music I use Winamp, but I don't use it that often nowadays. Also sometimes use Nokia PC Suite to transfer stuff from my phone to PC or vice versa.

Do you have a link for that CeeCee?

Thanks again Andavari.
Eli
If you haven't ever defrag your registry, I would defrag that 4%.
After that, you don't basicly have to defrag, unless you remove a lot of stuff from the registry (uninstall a lot of apps, and so on). Some registry entries wil leave more and bigger gaps than others. Registry defrag programs removes those gaps left by removed registry entries and that way compacting the registry.
Edit: This is very important when using registry defrag programs; Reboot your computer right away after defragging, because other wise the registry might get corrupted.
