The "MS Management Console More*" code causes (in Windows 7 x86) the Task Scheduler to issue an error message "Task BackgroundConfigSurveryor: The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with". This error occurs on opening the Task Scheduler following a CCleaner run. I recommend that this code be removed.

On my Windows 7 x64, this issue is caused by "Windows 7 Shellbags*" under the Applications tab (Winapp2.ini used).

Added lines
FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2011\Backups|*.*|RECURSE
FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2011\Settings|UserActionLog.txt
I disagree with adding the above code to the current jv16 PowerTools 2011 registry compactor backup files removal code.
FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2011\Backups|*.*|RECURSE
removes the individual registry cleaning backup entries that jv16 stores when performing a registry cleaning. This is like removing quarantined items automatically along with logs on security programs which can be dangerous in the event of a false positive. I recommend a separate code block that users can leave unchecked.

A file naming change in jv16 PT 2011 registry compactor makes the following change necessary (bak_jv16pt changed to jv16pt_bak)
[jv16 PowerTools 2011*] LangSecRef=3024 DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2011\jv16PT.exe Default=False FileKey1=%UserProfile%|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak2 FileKey2=%UserProfile%|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak FileKey3=%UserProfile%|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak.LOG1 FileKey4=%UserProfile%|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak.LOG2 FileKey5=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows|UsrClass.dat.jv16pt_bak2 FileKey6=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows|UsrClass.dat.jv16pt_bak FileKey7=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows|UsrClass.dat.jv16pt_bak.LOG1 FileKey8=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows|UsrClass.dat.jv16pt_bak.LOG2 FileKey9=%windir%\system32\config|Default.jv16pt_bak FileKey10=%windir%\system32\config|Default.jv16pt_bak2 FileKey11=%windir%\system32\config|Default.jv16pt_bak.LOG1 FileKey12=%windir%\system32\config|Default.jv16pt_bak.LOG2 FileKey13=%windir%\system32\config|software.jv16pt_bak.LOG1 FileKey14=%windir%\system32\config|software.jv16pt_bak.LOG2 FileKey15=%windir%\system32\config|software.jv16pt_bak2 FileKey16=%windir%\system32\config|software.jv16pt_bak FileKey17=%windir%\system32\config|system.jv16pt_bak2 FileKey18=%windir%\system32\config|system.jv16pt_bak FileKey19=%windir%\system32\config|system.jv16pt_bak.LOG1 FileKey20=%windir%\system32\config|system.jv16pt_bak.LOG2 FileKey21=%windir%\System32\config|SAM.jv16pt_bak FileKey22=%windir%\System32\config|SAM.jv16pt_bak2 FileKey23=%windir%\System32\config|SAM.jv16pt_bak.LOG1 FileKey24=%windir%\System32\config|SAM.jv16pt_bak.LOG2 FileKey25=%windir%\System32\config|COMPONENTS.jv16pt_bak FileKey26=%windir%\System32\config|COMPONENTS.jv16pt_bak2 FileKey27=%windir%\System32\config|COMPONENTS.jv16pt_bak.LOG1 FileKey28=%windir%\System32\config|COMPONENTS.jv16pt_bak.LOG2 FileKey29=%windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak FileKey30=%windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak2 FileKey31=%windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak.LOG1 FileKey32=%windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak.LOG2 FileKey33=%windir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak FileKey34=%windir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak2 FileKey35=%windir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak.LOG1 FileKey36=%windir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService|NTUSER.DAT.jv16pt_bak.LOG2

The following 2 entries need to be modified to prevent displaying on systems with only AMD Raid software...no ATI/AMD graphics card.
[ATI/AMD Graphics Driver Install Files*] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKLM\Software\Ati Technologies\Install\ATI Catalyst Install Manager Default=False FileKey1=%SystemDrive%\ATI\Support|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%SystemDrive%\AMD|*.*|RECURSE [ATI/AMD Graphics Card Driver Install Logs*] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKLM\Software\Ati Technologies\Install\ATI Catalyst Install Manager Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\ATI\CIM\Reports|*.xml

I typically put out the next version when I feel there's been enough changes made. I always update after a CCleaner version is released. I think I will hold off an update for may until CCleaner 3.07 is out.
If you guys want a designated release schedule, I could accommodate that.
Your current update practice is fine with me.

Raxco PerfectDisk 12 (Now in Release Candidate phase)

Some people are of the opinion that quarentine files shouldn't be cleaned with CCleaner.
I share that opinion too. However, if that is not the accepted "rule", then I recommend that they be a separate unique entry....only to clean out quarantine files.

[McAfee Logs*]
LangSecRef=3021
DetectFile=%CommonAppData%\McAfee\MCLOGS
Default=False
FileKey1=%CommonAppData%\McAfee\MCLOGS|*.log|RECURSE
FileKey2=%CommonAppData%\McAfee\MCLOGS\CoreTech|*.*|RECURSE
I have tested this modified entry on Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit systems. I have McAfee Internet Security 2011 on both the systems. For some reason so many uninstalled programs empty folders were residing in the location listed here:
C:\ProgramData\McAfee\MCLOGS\CoreTech
After removing all the subfolders from the location listed above, everything was fine. I restarted the systems and all the needed subfolders were recreated.
Please help me to figure out Norton Quarantine files location.
In my opinion, removal of quarantined items for Security Programs such as McAfee, MBAM, SAS, NIS, etc., should be separate and unique entries in Winapp2.ini and Winapp.ini. That will allow CCleaner users to "purposely/intentionally" clean out quarantined items. If quarantined item removal is part of a general cleanup entry, users may not be aware that quarantined items are being deleted and could get into trouble if a security program false positive occurs and quarantines a good file.
