What's Up with Filekey 5-6 don't seem to relate to entry heading, and I'm pretty sure it deletes all the users cookies (and no it does NOT respect cookies to keep)
[LocalService Cookies*] LangSecRef=3022 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows Default=False FileKey1=%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\LocalService\Cookies|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%WinDir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Temp\Cookies|*.*|REMOVESELF FileKey3=%WinDir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies|*.*|REMOVESELF FileKey4=%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\LocalService.NT*\Cookies|*.*|RECURSE FileKey5=%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies|*.* FileKey6=%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low|*.*|REMOVESELF
I am the guilty party who requested FileKey5 and FileKey6 be added in this code....and it was an mistake to make this request. I recommend that these two keys be removed from [LocalService Cookies*]. CCleaner is not coded yet to properly handle IE 10's cookies on Windows 7 and this was an effort to clean out cookies of IE 10. Sorry about that.

On my Intel SSD, Series 330, Speccy does not display the Manufacturer. It shows it as "Unknown manufacturer". The manufacturer is Intel.
-
It would be great if Speccy displayed the following additional information on a Solid State Drive:
Serial Number
Firmware Version Number
-
It most likely depends on the type of drives that are connected to the system.
-
Modified Entry:
Added Detect2 so that the Intel folder is detected on Windows 7 x86 and x64.
[intel Installation Logs*] LangSecRef=3024 Detect1=HKCU\Software\Intel Detect2=HKLM\Software\Intel Default=False FileKey1=%SystemDrive%\Intel|*.*|REMOVESELF

Modified Entry: [DriverMax*] again. Added FileKey5 and FileKey6

Is it just me or is there a bug in the ExcludeKey=FILE|..... that prevents it from excluding a file name with multiple periods such as globalize.culture.ar-min.js ??

I vote for leaving them separate as shown below (modified to reflect what is already in Winapp.ini [Windows Media Player]. [Windows Media Player (Databases*] should have the proper DetectOS added to prevent it from showing up in Windows 7 and Windows 8, eh?

I recommend that [MountPoints2*] be removed from Winapp2.ini. It is causing disk labeling issues on Windows 7 SP1 x64 and x86. And according to the Warning it is causing icon problems with Windows 8. I have attached a couple of pictures showing a before and after cleaning with MountPoints2* check marked.

Referencing the link below for a user who is showing multiple versions of MS Office on his/her computer, I again offer the following code for getting rid of registry keys left by Office upgrades that show older version of Office.

Windows 7 SP1 x64 Professional with IE 10 Pre-Release (KB2761465)
Windows 7 SP1 x86 Professional with IE 10 Pre-Release (KB2761465)
Internet Explorer 10 is the only browser on all systems.
CCleaner V3.25.1872 (32-bit and 64-bit)
WinApp2.ini V3.25.121212
All files installed at default locations.
CCleaner does NOT clean cookies at C:\Users\UserAccount\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies
All associated cleaning modules in CCleaner>Windows and CCleaner>Applications are checkmarked for cleaning.
In addition, the cookies at this location do not show up in CCleaner at Options>Cookies

Coffee4Joe,
Thanks for discovering FileKey4. It looks to me like your latest revision is a good global entry for Windows 7 and 8. It should only show up on systems with IE 10.

I found a large number of cookies residing at C:\Users\MyAccount\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies. The oldest cookie was dated 6-Nov-2012. Cleaning routine [LocalService Cookies*] would not detect or clean out these cookies. I added FileKey5 and FileKey6 to [LocalService Cookies*] to clean out these cookies. This is on Windows 7 SP1 x86 and x64 Professional with IE 10 installed. I might add that these cookies were not showing up in the list of cookies in CCleaner>Options>Cookies. My machines all have IE 10 at the present time so I am not able to determine if these cookies existed with IE versions older than 10.

I did find this concerning cache and history under IE10. HOWEVER, I am not certain if this applies to the Windows 7 version of IE 10. There is no WebCacheV24.dat but there is a WebCacheV01.dat in the Webcache folder on Windows 7.
A few words about the cache / history on Internet Explorer 10
Recently, I have received multiple reports from users of Internet Explorer 10 ( On Windows 8 ) saying that my history/cache utilities fail to work with IE10, and they are right...
As opposed to all previous versions of Internet Explorer that used the same file structure to store the history/cache/cookies information, IE10 uses a completely new file structure. Instead of the old index.dat file, IE10 stores all cache/history information inside a single Jet Blue database (Also known as ESE database or .edb file). This database file is WebCacheV24.dat, and it's located under C:\Users\[user Profile]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache folder
More info is at http://blog.nirsoft....et-explorer-10/

I've been trying to figure out a to DETECT only Internet Explorer 10. The current Detect will cause this cleaning code to show up on all systems with any version of Internet Explorer. Thus far, I haven't found any detect point that is unique to IE 10.

MODIFIED ENTRY
Backups location changed
http://www.acelogix.....php?f=1&t=4195
[Ace Utilities*]
LangSecRef=3024
Detect=HKCU\Software\Acelogix\Ace Utilities

Please keep the original location of the backups as well. The location change only goes into effect on fresh installs of Ace Utilities. "Over the top" upgrades retain the original location of the backups. Most users do an "Over the top" upgrade so their backup location will remain in the Documents folder.

Thanks for testing/showing fix for this XP problem. It is correct as issued in the latest release of Winapp2.ini.

Shoot I forgot to fix that, my bad.
That is not supposed to show up on XP
What is the fix to prevent it from showing up in XP ??

Looking forward to experiencing your enhancements in the next release. Certainly do appreciate your efforts and continued support of winapp2.ini. It is a significant part of maintaining a top performing system.
