This new entry for SpywareBlaster did not make the update either.
[spywareBlaster Update File*] LangSecRef=3024 DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\SpywareBlaster\sbautoupdate.exe Default=False Warning=This deletes SWB program updater file spywareblasterupgrade_latest.exe which is no longer needed once a SWB program version update occurs. This revised Belarc did not make it in the latest update.

I recommend that the name of the code below be changed to:
[Adobe Flash More*] LangSecRef=3023 Detect=HKCU\Software\Macromedia\FlashPlayer Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Adobe\Flash Player\AssetCache|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%WinDir%\System32\Macromed\Flash|FlashInstall.log FileKey3=%WinDir%\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash|FlashInstall.log
changed to:
[Adobe Flash Player More*]

Please do not remove/clean %AppData%\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\settings.sol
because it is the user settings for Flash Player as set up via the Flash Player applet in the Control Panel.

Should the name on this one be changed from ??
[And Yet It Moves Logs*] LangSecRef=3021 DetectFile=%AppData%\Broken Rules\And Yet It Moves Steam Default=False FileKey1=%AppData%\Broken Rules\And Yet It Moves Steam|console.log

The only comments I have about combing entries are that I know some would prefer to keep the Malwarebytes Separate so they don't have to clean the Quarantine area(which is what the default CCleaner entry does) I think combining them makes sense to me as the list is growing ever longer. Perhaps use the Warning tag to list out what is being cleaned the combined entries so its more apparent what they will be removing. Just my two cents.
I see nothing wrong/objectionable concerning the proposed MBAM combination. It is the built-in [Malwarebytes Anti Malware] that deletes quarantined items.
-
You can change [Thumbsplus 8*] to [Thumbsplus 8/9*]. Thumbsplus 9 is almost out of beta and the cleanup is the same as Thumbsplus 8.

Non-functioning Belarc* needs to be modified to the following code:
[belarc*] LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKCU\Software\Belarc Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\Belarc\Advisor\|INSTALL.Log FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\Belarc\Advisor\System\|Progress.Log FileKey3=%ProgramFiles%\Belarc\Advisor\System\Tmp\|*.*

New Entry:
[spywareBlaster Update File*] LangSecRef=3024 DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\SpywareBlaster\sbautoupdate.exe Default=False Warning=This deletes SWB program updater file spywareblasterupgrade_latest.exe which is no longer needed once a SWB program version update occurs. FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\SpywareBlaster\|spywareblasterupgrade_latest.exe
This is for security program SpywareBlaster, licensed version with automatic updates. File spywareblasterupgrade_latest.exe is generated when a new SWB version is automatically downloaded and installed. Once the upgrade occurs the file is no longer needed. (See the forum discussion at the link below.) Although it is supposed to be automatically removed on the next reboot, the file is left hanging on my Windows 7 SP1 x64 and x86 Professional systems. So I assume that others have a similar unneccessary file.

How about this, should work:
[jv16 PowerTools Registry Compact Backups*] LangSecRef=3024 DetectFile1=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2009\jv16PT.exe DetectFile2=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2010\jv16PT.exe DetectFile3=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2011\jv16PT.exe DetectFile4=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2012\jv16PT.exe Default=False Warning=This removes the registry hive backup files generated by jv16 PowerTools during a registry compaction. Yes, the above code does work. Thanks.

After finally getting a version of jv16 PowerTools 2012 in which the registry compactor component works properly, I am able to test "jv16 PowerTools*" as included in the latest released WinApp2.ini. The wild card implementation does NOT work. In this specific compact run, it should find 15 files to clear. It finds 0 files. This is on Windows 7 SP1 x86 and x64 Professional.
Current non-functional code of jv16 PowerTools*

What do you mean excactly? Which Windows versions? Why not just use wildcards eg. .LOG* instead of multiple entries .LOG1 .LOG2 etc..?
Ah jeez....the wildcard implementation did not registry in my brain....sorry.
At least let's change the name as suggested and add the warning message, eh?.

Thank you for pointing those out! A lot of times, I don't properly check to see what's included in the winapp.ini. There have been a few times where I've done it almost line-by-line, in which case I removed a lot of entries!
I think most things included in winapp.ini should be removed from winapp2.ini for linearity's sake.
I totally agree.

SnagIt 11 was added in Winapp.ini of CCleaner V3.17. SnagIt 11* should be changed to:

You could add these entries for jv16 PowerTools 2012 which is in Release Candidate testing state at the present time.
[jv16 PowerTools 2012 Backup Files*] LangSecRef=3024 DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2012\jv16PT.exe Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2012\Backups|*.*|RECURSE| FileKey2=%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2012\Settings|UserActionLog.txt Excludekey1=FILE|%ProgramFiles%\jv16 PowerTools 2012\Backups|License.xbin_backup
and add DetectFile4 to the existing code below.

Also truth. The built-in entry is also Default=False!
Yup... Probably should rename [Macromedia Shockwave 8*] to [Adobe ShockWave 8*] and [Macromedia Shockwave 9*] to [Adobe ShockWave 9*] also.

New Entry
I found an forum on Microsoft recommending this cache can be deleted. It apparently can also be disabled in a system policy. Here are two articles describing the cleaning both say under NO circumstances should you attempt to clean the Installer directory!! Only the Patch Cache. I also verified that this did not cause any issues with updating and new folders are recreated by the Windows Installer. I saved over a 1 GB by clearing this folder.
http://blogs.msdn.co...oft-update.aspx
http://social.techne...ec-3a7f389d1c4c
[Windows Installer Patch Cache *]
LangSecRef=3025
Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
Default=False
FileKey1=%WinDir%\Installer\$PatchCache$|*.*|RECURSE
This statement makes me a bit apprehensive as to whether $PatchCache$ should be removed.
You may also delete the Windows Installer baseline cache. These files are useful to help eliminate prompts for source when uninstalling patches, and even sometimes when installing certain types of patches. By deleting these files, if you are prompted for source you may need to insert your original installation media, or download and extract previously downloaded installations.If it does get added to WinApp2.ini, a warning message should be included in the code.
