    Thanks for doing some extra checking to discover bugs in Winapp2.ini.  These errors can certainly slip into this file undetected unless we are all vigilant in checking-rechecking things.   B)

    I strongly recommend that we remove [AutoPlay Devices*] from Winapp2.ini

     

    -  It can cause conflicts with the AutoPlay settings of Windows 8 and 10 as shown in the attached picture.

    -  There are several security applications that provide turning off AutoPlay on selected or all devices because of security issues.  [AutoPlay Devices*] conflicts with this security policy

    -  This again is not the function of CCleaner.  CCleaner is not a Windows settings tool...it is a junk file/key cleaner.  JMO  :huh:

    Does everyone else agree with removing the old AVG 2013-2015 entries as well as removing AVG safeguard? I mean the new AVG is free so people shouldn't have a issue with using that. Also, AVG 2017 does work on old XP system, too.

    I do think the following keys need to be included because they do exist....at least they do on my systems which are Windows 10x64 Pro Build 16299.15 V1709.  And are you sure you want to eliminate the DetectOS=10.0| which isolates this code to Windows 10 systems.?

    Tested working nicely, it takes a minute or so but the Windows spotlight lock screen background does update. This fixes something that annoyed me for some time now (see link)

    That why I added the following in the original post

     

    "NOTE: This is not an every day use and should be used at own risk."

    "Warning=This will delete all language files excluding the en_GB and en_US language files."

    Remove entries [Malwarebytes Lng*] and [Revo Uninstaller Pro Lng*]

     

    I do not recommend that these two language cleaners be added to the public Winapp2.ini.  There are totally user dependent based on a user's location.  Users of Winapp2.ini could inadvertently remove their user profile language for these two programs.  We have never included language files in the past.  This type of file should be maintained in custom.ini by individual users of CCleaner.

    [Windows Media Player Databases*] doesn't delete the actual local database files (at least in XP and Win7, I don't know about others).  I have been adding FileKey4 to remove the databases themselves:
