  1. Heres more freeware!

Spider Media player..... really low on resources, non taxing on mem, its great!

SG TCP Optimiser .... great freeware to optimise MTU ..

sorry guys couldn't really post the sites but google it for now and I'll do the needful when I find more time....

  2. Hello folks!

Any good freeware widgets for news, stocks, weather, etc small memory saving and efficient software without any adware , spyware ????

Post your favourite ones .... lets compare and get the very best!!

All I have is the BBC ticker at the moment..

Would be great to see freeware to build and integrate all system utilities to present in tray ! like broadband speed, data transfer, etc

  3. Hi all,

Just downloaded Paint.net and wondering if it runs only in a .net framework

Any particular version atall? and is there any downside to having the .net framework on a winxp pc ? anyone had any problems with it ...... would appreciate some advice as regards this query

    many thanks

  4. IM Security software: I use IM Secure (basic version ) is there any freeware better than Zone Alarm's IMSecure for chat client security ? coz I don't think its really preventing flooding and dunno how far its actually doing wat it says it does ....every feature included says its meant for IM Secure Pro...

There's got to be a good freeware, does any1 know of any??

  5. the more often one uses it the better, keeps the system nice and tidy and super quick! Needless to mention always run after installing / unistalling (even more! :D ) programs.

Lets go by the average : once a fortnite..........

  6. By the way has any1 observed the last version 1.4's recent update actually reduced the parameters from 33thousand odd to 28thousand odd which showed up on immunizing the system... bizarre that I've never noticed the immunized files to be ever reduced! after an update.

  7. I use winxp home sp2

    and CCleaner ver 2.0

IE7 as the web browser ( its set to auto delete temp files on closing the window) and its got autoinline forms turned on... wonder if these sort of clash with the Autocomplete form history button in CCleaner

but once i turn off the autocomplete function in CCleaner it immediately reports 0 bytes to be removed instead of showing system32 dll to be removed

  8. Whilst Autocomplete form history is checked repeated analysis will continue to show different dll files to be removed from prefetch, once unchecked it shows a clean 0bytes to be removed status...

note : I have added C:\Windows\Prefetch*.* to the additional folders to be cleaned... and that doesn't seem to be the cause of this problem

Any suggestions, is this really a bug??

  9. I had a program (Cradle of Rome) I installed. Everytime I opened it, I got the error message the program has encountered a problem and must close. So I uninstalled Cradle a while back.

Today when preparing to run CC cleaner, I see Cradle listed (altho I thought it was gone). When I select run uninstaller for Cradle, the dialog box says an entirely different program (Nero) is going to be uninstalled (which I do not not want uninstalled).

What do I do to get rid of Cradle without losing Nero?

================================== Try AddRemove Pro its a freeware program that should sort out this issue, also you might want to try regscrubxp to go into user find category, locate the particular Cradle of Rome key and delete it - hope it helps

  10. Hi all!

Was just wondering if there is a good easy to use macro recorder freeware which could perform tasks like running programs and not just starting up programs! also shut down pc at a prescribed time and multiple functions.........???
