  1. Hey Sockdown,

If ORACLE shows in the Applications list you might want to uncheck it until you can get some more info.

Also review winapp2.ini if you are using it.

    :) davey

No, Oracle does not show on the Applications List and I'm not using winapp2.ini. Just the default installation. But thanks. :D

Ok, I just uninstalled Oracle, installed it again, the file OracleDatabaseXEServerInstall is not null now, and tried to connect to Oracle and now it connected. I don't know if this is ocurring because of that file, but take a look for Oracle needed files. Thanx again. Later.

Ran CCleaner again excluding the file: "C:\WINDOWS\OracleDatabaseXEServerInstall.log" and tried to connect to Oracle again and it connected. I could try to run it without excluding it again, but I don't want to wait 10-12 minutes again if Oracle goes kaboom hehe.

  2. I don't know how CCleaner decides which log files to delete, but if it decides based on a few ones that are excluded or something like that, then must be careful with which log files it delete. I was just running Oracle XE 10 normally(last program installed), close it down, ran CCleaner to erase crap and when I tried to connect to the database, it said: "Oracle Not Available, No realm something". When you install Oracle, a log file is created called OracleXEServerInstall or something like that, that apperently it's needed to run Oracle normally I think. I noticed that when that file was been deleted(5.74MB) I think it was, it just kept the progress bar running but nothing happened. Heard of something like this? Take a look just in case. Thanx. Later.

  4. Great job guys. I been using this product a long time and now I see Ad's. Good job turning a great product into Adware/Spyware (aka Yahoo)! I also love the no option notto install yahoo in the new version and I even had to reboot my system twice to remove to BS!!

It does have the option. You just have to uncheck it. You must have miss it during the installation. Besides, the hosting for the site cost money.

  5. Does this release includes the Vista Recent Documents cleaning? Until 2.05, it's been like 4 releases without it. Don't know what happened. Just curious cause I'm downloading it now for my XP machine and for the Vista one.

    No...

  7. ERM! What that $&&$ is this! Just downloaded the file from filehippo and an instaler started the setup automatically and like 94 setups were running at the same time! What is this? Damn, gonna have do a check for something weird on my pc. DAMMIT! Andy! I'm back! lol, a new HJT log on the way! lol

  8. Other than what I've mentioned you could try to ping www.javacoolsoftware.com

    -or-

    try a different web browser

    -or-

make sure www.javacoolsoftware.com and javacoolsoftware.com aren't blocked in the HOSTS file

Already tried that with Andy. Thanks anyway :D

was about to mention someone was having the same problem in the hijack-this area. But that someone is you :D

Yeah, sorry, I posted this before asking Andy for help. My bad.

  9. Uhhhhh, I installed CCleaner 2.0 Final and it has not crashed yet. Hurray!. What I did notice is that, the secure deletion takes a long time. But, anyway, as long as it cleans, I don't mind waiting a few minutes. :D Thanx!

  10. From the main page:

No mentioning of Windows Vista in that.

This is the reason for my question:

    http://forums.clamwin.com/viewtopic.php?t=...highlight=vista

But, I'm a little skeptical about it. Like you said, there's no mentioning of Windows Vista on the supported OS's list. Thanx for the reply Andavari.

It doesn't seem to mention vista here, the latest release at the end of July

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/clamwin/

Also there is this about the portable version on vista

    Thanx for the links hazelnut.

Windows Vista is really starting to piss me off. Where are the Firewalls for Windows Vista?! I've been reading that the release ZoneAlarm made had some issues. Comodo doesn't have a Windows Vista version. Is Jetico Firewall any good? There's a Windows Vista version on the site. Anyway, the laptop brought McAfee Security Suite 2006, which seems to be doing absolutely nothing. I don't trust the virus scan, and less could I trust the 'firewall'. I've been thinking about unistalling the Suite and installing Avira AV Classic and Jetico. What would you recommend?
