I need some help with this question. What is the order of speed between A, B, C and D starting from the fastest to the slowest? I need to know because of a silly contest were having. I knew you nice people here would know the answer. Thanks.

I'm using firefox 2, and I was checking my email on MSN Live Hotmail and a notification at the top screen said it needed to download "Real Player Browser Record Plugin 1.0" in order to play something (probably and audio ad), and I allowed it to download it. Now I have this plugin that I'm not sure that I need.
My question is should I uninstall it? And if so, how? I looked at the unistall button but it was all shaded out. Is there another way to uninstall it?

I can imagine that WRC is not so popular in the USA.
Which one of these sports is the most popular in the USA; Basketball (NBA), Football (NFL) or Baseball?
I would say Football is the most popular in the US. Basketball and Baseball are pretty even. Tennis and Soccer is the lowest in popularity, then of course Underwater Basket Weaving comes in dead last.

Does anyone know how to make the underline of a misspelled word in firefox bolder? I can hardly see it, it's so thin. I'd like to make it a different color too.

Because I much prefer European forms of racing from the cars, manufacturers, etc.
I could care less about Champ Car (formerly CART). Don't get me started on Nascar which I can't stand one bit and will never be a fan of nor watch. My interests and focus are in two FIA series; Formula 1, and World Rally Championship.
It would be nice if they'd show more British Rally Cross and Australian V8 Supercars racing here on U.S. T.V. That's wishful thinking since most channels cater to Nascar, and have Nascar lodged so far up their collective asses they wouldn't know of any other racing.
I know what you mean about Nascar, I'm not a big fan either, however, my brother loves it and watches it every weekend. Is it the race itself, or the drivers and how the race is presented you don't like about it. To me it's just plain boring. It's a redneck haven and I couldn't stand to attend one of those races..lol I'll watch it on TV on occasion, but that's it. I'll take a good football game any day of the week.

Its so strange that people are having issues on the forum with only firefox. I have firefox on 4 different computers that I can check right now and its working fine on all of them.
Some people were having issues with Opera too. Their spell-checkers wern't acting properly and some pictures on the forum weren't showing up for them. I just installed Firefox 2.0.0.6 and everything is working good so far.

You definitely aren't going to find the batch file and .reg file I made, it isn't online anywhere. Although it's probably on some CD-R or floppy disk around the house someone gathering dust.
Yeah, it probably is and their making bucks with it..lol No, but seriously, someone else might have had the same idea as you and created one but I already googled it and nothing came up anyway. No big deal really.

Obviously you can only use 1 at a time but you can have as many as you want installed and switch when ever you want. I have 5 that I switch between in Firefox. In Opera I have 10.

I think you may find that everyone has their own idea of which browser is best. I think it's probably the one you feel most comfortable with using. If someone needs a certain feature and a certain browser supplies it, well that's going to be the best for them.
I personally like opera because it suits the way in which I use the internet, but I know people who swear by IE7.
Perhaps you could download opera and firefox portables to your usb stick and give them a try without the hassel of installing them on your computer.

Skin and theme as far as Firefox goes is the same thing.
Yeah, I think I'm gonna like this. I just changed the theme to Aluminium Kai 2. Looks great!

There are over 2000 extensions for Firefox for everything you can imagine. Once you start using them you will see that you can customize it like no other browser. If I had to pick one and only one browser it would be Firefox. Having said that I use 6 browsers regularly and they are all decent, IE7 being the worst of them. IE7 is the least configurable of the browsers. Opera is loaded right out of the box. Maxthon 1 an 2 are also loaded and also have about a thousand extensions for them. Firefox is not nearly as feature rich as Opera and Maxthon on install but that is more than made up for with the extensions.They can all be skinned which IE can't. I see no reason to limit yourself (deprive yourself) by relying on IE7 exclusively.
Thanks for all the replies everyone. I went ahead and downloaded the Firefox 2.0.0.6. I'm using it now, and it's great! I think I'll just wait and get a little more familar with it before I change it up any. I'll probably add a different Theme first. What's the difference between a Theme and a different skin? Are they one in the same?

I started using Firefox ever since 0.97. I have not found another browser I have liked, I have tried ever browser I could find. But, none of them compare to the speed and user ability of Firefox.
Actually the same goes for Thunderbird too.
What version of firefox would you say is the best? I noticed several editions like 2 and the latest version 3. I wouldn't want a google package or anything like that, just the firefox by itself.

They probably didn't like my French.
The program isn't in existence anymore and was only useful maybe five to seven years ago, so no go there in distributing or posting it. No programming whatsoever, all it was was a batch file and a .reg file that worked like a charm on my system.
Oh OK, I see. Well, maybe I'll google "Kill AOL" and see what I come up with.

I'm thinking about adding a new browser, problem is, I can't decide which one to get. I've been reading posts about the different browsers like firefox and opera, but there are such mixed opinions about each of them it's hard to decide which one to get. I really don't want to try them ALL out, but would rather choose the right one the first time-out, and be done with it. Besides the security issue with IE, what other reasons do I have to change my browser from IE7 to something else? I'm curious to know what I would have to gain by having for example, Firefox.
I've been using IE7 exclusively for approximately 6 years now, but before then I used AOL's browser. What I experienced with AOL's browser was I couldn't save pictures to my PC. There was the notorious red-X instead of the pic, making it clear to me that there was a compatibility issue, or possibly a bug. Then, when I would use internet explorer, the pictures would save correctly.
Have any of you ever experienced any problems similar to this with Firefox or any other browser types out their? This will help me make a better decision as to which one to try first.

It didn't detect an update for my system either, I have WinXP SP2. What day of the month do these updates fall on so I can quit wasting my time checking?

You sign up to this forum when you install AVG AV. It's an option in the install process. I'm not sure if there is another way?
No, I didn't sign up for the AVG forum. It works like this, On my AVG Anti-Spyware program, there's a 'Request Technical Support' link, so when you click on it, it takes you to a private 'Ask Technical Team Question' page, and from their you have to enter your full name and personal registration number/key of the product you purchased so they can recognize who you are. Then you write your message and send it, then they send you the answer to your registered email address.

Their forum will answer questions about any AVG product for free and they are quick. No need to be a paying customer to get help with AVG.
Oh rats, and I thought I was special with the personal email and all.

None of the reviews I have read about it were very good. I went with Panda and Black Light. Both of these do not even require an install. Just run the exe. They had good reviews and are very simple to use.
Yeah, they're all probably pretty good. I like AVG so I went with them. I also have a paid Anti-Spyware account with them, so, it was easy for me to get a question answered quickly from support. That question & reply I posted earlier was answered within the hour. They're real good about that.

I have scanned with 4 Antirootkit programs and non of them found anything.
If I didn't know any better, I'd say that you sounded 'disappointed' CeeCee! LOL
I just downloaded AVG Rootkit and it didn't find anything either. I'll put it on the back-shelf and check it from time to time. Good little program to have.

AOL is fine as long as you don't use their software or expect anything of use from their call centres. We've been on AOL for several years now and the connection is solid, only had one, possibly two, problems in all that time.
I've just set up my new laptop and there's not a trace of AOL on it despite using them for internet.
I was just referring to AOL's software in general. Too much stuff and junk occupying lot's of space. I didn't like their browser either. Actually, I didn't know you could get online with AOL without some of their software. i.e 'browser. I never experienced any down-time with AOL, so in that respect they've been good.
