I cant fix this error. Some one told me to go here http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.a...ticleid=Q107061. But I still couldnt fix it. when I go to the registry editor All of the main menus such as Hkey_class_root or Hkey_Current_User say in the data field value not set. Is this the problem and if it is what should the value be set to?

Ok, but what is wrong with it? Does it install malware or something, or waste a lot of space? I've been using it for a long time and have had no problems with it. Its deffinately better than realplayer and wmp. For music I usually use winamp or recently quintissential player.
btw, does anyone here use winamps stream ripper add on? I love it, I let it run all night and wake up with at least 50-60 good songs.

So, LEEnoble what AV have you decided to go with?
-
I like it, it streams faster than wmp and it has a much higher video quality.

What is IMAP?

agumon got his screenshot right.
Just click on the active Window, rridgely; then press (and hold) Alt and press PrtScrn. It captures the active window only instead of the full screen.
oh, I hit ctrl.

I guess I went overboard . But I wanted to use my new trick .

I was curious and looked into nod32. Your right it is ugly.
-
ehem.... NOD32
The interface isn't all that great, but I love it. Low on system resources too. But you do have to pay for it. Did you say you were looking for a free av?
Ive never used nod32 but if it looks like this than it must look great!
Also thanks Tarun for showing us how to make screen shots.

Read my first post. Microsoft is offering it for one year for free. Click on link.

You should. It has low resourse usage and I havent got a virus in the two years that Ive been using it. I liked it better than nortan, AVG, and Avast!.
Oh also, I use Zone Alarm pro and it dosent detect Avast as an antivirus, but it does detect Computer Associates. It may not matter, but it says that it monitors it and makes sure its doing its job. I like it!
-
Avast is great but I like Computer Associates. Microsoft offers a free one year trial of it. And for anyone who has used it in the past the interface is now much better.
To get the offer click the below link.

I know you can make it ask for a password when it gets your mail, But is their a way to make it ask for a password when it first opens up?

Because I never read things all the way (bad habit) and am new to firefox when I installed my extensions it said something about install in all profiles. Well after reinstalling my extensions and seeing the message again it was talking about my win xp profiles .

This dosent work. The reason I want to do this is that I keep getting errors or not so good performance. So I want a fresh install and then reinstall my extensions and themes. Has anyone else done this before? DJlizzard, the reason I cant use your method is because when I installed extentions and chromedit I installed them into the main profile so they affect all profiles (this was not intentional).
Sorry DJlizzrd it did work I just didnt do it right. Thanks alot I will have to learn not do doubt the lizzard!

Uninstall firefox.
Delete the Mozilla firefox folder in programs.
Run CCleaner encase of stray registry entrys.
(I think, I never had to do a very clean uninstall of firefox either then add/remove. I've always been satisfied with it)

Sorry I dont want to be rude because I love this forum and want to keep getting help here in my fight for understanding computers, but are you joking? (btw, it didnt work ).

I have tried every thing (even went into registry which is some thing I avoid like the plague). I cant get a clean install. everytime I delete and reinstall It come back just like before.
(I know this is probably really easy to fix but I have reinstalled firefox about 6 times in the last 30 minutes and have had no luck).

No, but if you look I believe it expires in 2038.
Yep, it does. Prefs are 2015 and the other says, Sunday, January 17, 2038 2:14:09 PM
Thats really strange . I wonder what they did that for. Maybe they really are planning to take over the world.

Ever seen the Google cookie? There was also something about how Google blocks things, like if you were to search for Iraqi prisoner abuse pictures on Google and Yahoo, Google wouldn't show them, Yahoo would.
Would anyone honestly want to see this? But I guess censorship in any way does suck. No I have never seen the google cookie, but I have never trusted thier toolbar (or anyother addon toolbar for that matter). Did spybot or adaware find it to be a tracking cookie?

Ok, so where can I get quicktime alternative and what is less bloated about it? Plus untill I get rid of that stupid error 1606 I probably cant install it anyway.
