Everything I right-click on has Paint Shop 9 & X 'Browse with' options on the context menu. Anyone know how to get rid of these? Cheers

All is OK now, did a successful disk restore from my backup drive, only lost a few emails in the end.

It doesn't look like hes banned from eBay yet as he's selling TuneUp again.

I had system restore turned off anyway. Think i'll just give up and format, I still have 2nd December's backups on my external disk.

What will that do? I've already tryed my Windows install disk to see if i could repair but didn't do anything.

I've added the C: drive as a slave drive to this computer to try and get my documents off it before I put it back in my PC and format it. But I get access denied when I try to open my user account on it. Anyone know a way to open it?

It don't let me get into Safe Mode now or before this problem. Thats how this happened, me trying to find a way into safe mode. I've not changed the boot skin with any type of program.

The screen is black - can't see anything.

I changed the settings in msconfig to minimal boot. Now when I boot up the PC I get the Windows XP booting screen then it just goes blank - nothing on the screen. How do I fix this so I can see the screen again? I'm on a different PC writing this. Thanks.

I'll try that but I think it will just do the same as now e.g. hang.

I can't start my XP machine in Safe Mode, when I press the right 'F' key for Safe Mode all I get is a load of numbers and symbols scrolling up the screen but it never loads into Safe Mode. This has always happened ever since this install of XP in April. Anyone know a fix?
