In one of the pages about this I see you MUST have c\program files (spelt like that) on your computer for it to install to, have you?

What program is it g231?
At what stage in the setup do you get the error message? Any other part to the message?
Have you also turned off all realtime anti virus etc and disconnected from the internet? (sorry had to ask
)As a last resort try to install in safe mode.
It's Rose Online hehe...i get that error message everytime i try to install it..i have also turned off my anti-virus software and tried to install it via safe mode..and guess what? still no luck

as the title says...i always get this message "Setup.exe encountered an error and needs to be close" or something like that..by the way the installer is about 600mb in size..any advices would be great thanks!

i am using Turkish windows xp pro, i dont see sp3 when i visit microsoft update page, do i need to wait Turkish version of sp3? or that package is multilanguage?
as far as i know it is multi langauge but im not so sure about that

but i think your links in CCleaner.com are giving the wrong version it still gives me ver.2.06 (the slim and portable one only) -
i just hope Microsoft is true to their words that they will release SP3 in public on april 29 thru windows update
..they better get their databases ready cause' many users will download it right away. -

Today we are happy to announce that Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) has released to manufacturing (RTM). Windows XP SP3 bits are now working their way through our manufacturing channels to be available to OEM and Enterprise customers.
We are also in the final stages of preparing for release to the web (i.e. you!) on April 29th, via Windows Update and the Microsoft Download Center. Online documentation for Windows XP SP3, such as Microsoft Knowledge Base articles and the Microsoft TechNet Windows XP TechCenter, will be updated then. For customers who use Windows XP at home, Windows XP SP3 Automatic Update distribution for users at home will begin in early summer.
Thanks to everyone here who installed the public betas ? you not only gave us detailed feedback but also helped each other out with timely troubleshooting. Through the beta program we found several important issues and were able to confirm some essential fixes. We couldn?t have done this without you.
We will still be monitoring this forum during the next few weeks in case you have more feedback about the release of Windows XP SP3.

this happened to me ones. it happened when i reinstalled my printer drivers but after the installation i just restarted my pc and the problem was gone

this really getting weirder and weirder i am using ZA security suite here..and since you guys posted these issue here it hasn't found a trojan. i have the latest virus and program updates and im wondering why you guys kept getting these 'false positives".

that's weird i'm using Zone Alarm security suite and it has never found a trojan.
