  1. Yeah, I'm an avid bird watcher - I watch them s**t on my car.

    LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO, tell me about it i get so nervous when a flok of birds fly over, its like the battle of Britain all over again.

  2. Well for starters its based on FireFox which means adventualy there hopefully will be endless extensions and themes to expand it to no end.

    As i said its based on FireFox i.e. web browser, which means you can listen to pod-casts etc directly with in songbird no need to to browse to it via FireFox.

    The developers have a track record of working on and making great apps, hopefully this will be another.

    Also its mascot is a bird, how sweet is that.(did i just say that or was i thinking it?)

  3. A new bird has hatched.

    0.1.1 - 2006.02.22

    * Prefs page from mozilla with browser settings

    * Some UI fixes

    * M4A playback (oops)

    * Faster metadata scanning (even worse on networked files)

    * More file types (flac/wav)

    * Slurping through <embed>

    Homepage

  4. I more then likely will switch, i have been playing around with Ubuntu for some time now on VMware Player. One simple fact remands tho, why it does allot of stuff brilliantly, games that i and most people like using do not come out for other operating systems and i LOVE games B) .

  5. As Microsoft recently released a feature complete version of Windows vista, i was just wondering if you lot plan to upgrade as soon as it comes out, not at all etc.

    Windows Vista on Wikipedia

    Microsofts Vista page

    On another note im note sure about the look of it tho i few weeks a go a came across a windows xp theme and i thought that is ugly as hell, it was only a few days later i realized it was a direct copy of the one standard vista theme :blink: .

  6. I have no idea how many people use Ccleaner, but the 14 million downloads give some indication to that. My guess is that several million Ccleaner users exist.

    Now we have a poll, and out of these several million users, 66 have voted. 37 have voted to get rid of it.

    Talk about nothing...

    It is very few in terms of the complete CCleaner user base but i doubt very much that several million people know the poll exist.

  7. Another worrying thing is that there has been no word from MrG about the toolbar, i.e. he understands are frustration but it is necessary to keep it Ccleaner free or he does not care what we think etc.

    Edit: Maybe its because its taking some time to remove it :D:(

  8. Yeah, well the only high-speed provider in my area is Mediacom which was formerly AT&T and still owned by AT&T to my knowledge which was an ISP that I sicked my lawyer on for trying to screw me over when I had a cable modem in 2000 - hence the reason I don't want anything from them.

    :lol: , if you dont mind me asking what did AT&T do?

  9. It does. And whatsmore it doesn't write any data into the registry, however it's more of a type of app for high-speed Internet connections hence it will automatically download the signature files each time.

    Still on a slow connection then Andavari :blink:.

  10. I have been watching a few of the sports, mainly to see when people crash and fall, ifs ****ing hilarious when they do B) . As i live in the UK and the Olympics are on the BBC who have a licence fee there are no adverts :D so no such problem over here.

  11. If you don't use Internet Explorer as your browser you will be able to use this scanner from ewido as an alternative to the online scan. It can only be seen on the page by non IE users apparently.

    http://www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/

    Wow thanks for the heads up hazelnut, when discussion first began about ewido on this forum i sent a email to ewido requesting a non IE online scanner. I guess this does the job :D .

  12. I maybe wrong but i think he wants to actually backup the settings of Ccleaner including the cookies he has already set to keep. If im correct

    Click "Run" in the start menu and type regedit and browse to the below registry entire

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\CCleaner

    once there right click on CCleaner and click export and choose where you want to save it(preferably either a external backup or a non Windows HD )then call it something like Ccleaner backup and click save. If you have any problems with Ccleaner and or your PC and have to reinstall simply install Ccleaner and double click the registry entire you backed up(make sure Ccleaner is close first).

  13. I'm glad everyone thinks its a good idea, rridgely i mentioned the poll idea here and as your a mod i assumed you must have read it and for one reason or another didn't do it, ill pm you next time :D .

    I think as the poll is started and votes already registered it wouldn't be a good i dear to start a new poll but maybe you could make it a sticky so i does not get lost among the other posts. I have also posted a similar thread on the Msfn and newowin forums with links to the polls so starting a new poll would also discount votes made by memeber of those forums.

  14. After numerous discussions on the addition of the toolbar, i thought i would start a few polls. The first one simply asks "Which versions of Ccleaner do you use?" the second "What is your opinion on the addition of a toolbar in Ccleaner?". Please take time to vote and hopefully together we can muster enough public opinion to completely remove the toolbar from All versions of Ccleaner.

    It is not only a bad thing for the users of Ccleaner but is also worrying for the future direction of what is a great program(the one without the toolbar)

    Which versions of Ccleaner do you use?

    What is your opinion on the addition of a toolbar in Ccleaner?

    Edit:

    I forgot to mention which ones actually includes the toolbar, hmm oops.

    Standard - All languages and toolbar included

    Basic - All languages and no toolbar included

    Slim - Only english and no toolbar included

    All builds can be found here

  15. I think that CCleaner should be able to make a System Restore Point before every session or at least before the registry cleanup sessions. Registry Mechanic does this. How hard would this be to implement in CCleaner?

    Why would you make a LARGE restore point when ccleaner prompts a user to make a backup of the registry entries it is about to remove?

  16. 1* Fix the progress bar i.e. make it so it does not go across multiple times.

    2* Add a % readout in the middle of the progress bar in cleaner like that in found in issues.

    3* Where ccleaner displays the results of a analysis, show what files/folders are currently being deleted.

    4* Maybe a estimated time of completion.
