I doubt it would have done that damage, maybe there's the slightest chance if you were ticking stuff under Advanced, but I doubt it. You can try system restore via Start > All Programs > Accesories > System Tools > System Restore.

I admit its a shame having a toolbar there, it goes against CCleaner, but I just deselect and I'm fine...

I use Nero 6 Reloaded, many people moan about Nero 7, the latest version of Nero 6 Reloaded alongside CopyMax DVD Copier works brilliantly.

No, just the anti-spyware included in Outpost's Pro Firewall.

I didn't install that app knowingly, so it's either a false positive or something installed without my knowledge/
I don't think its a false positive, as I was having problems with the internet, and removing GoldenEye fixed the problem, so it fixed something.

Found 5 entries of the same type, don't know who installed it, probably someone who was using it...

After finding problem with the internet (loads of people use this PC), I scanned with Ewido, Ad-Aware and Spybot, alongside Outpost's Anti-Spyware to find problems. Only Outpost's Anti-Spyware found a problem, a piece of spyware called GoldenEye, whilst none of the others did (including Ewido). After re-booting back out of safe mode from scanning, everything is fine, so I recomened it highly now.

The best way to patch the UX theme and not slow down your PC is as follows (though I use XPize, see above):
COPY THESE INSTRUCTIONS - SAVE TO DESKTOP
1) Download the UxTheme.dll from Lunarsoft:
http://www.lunarsoft.net/leech/uxtheme.rar
2) Extract the uxtheme.dll file to your desktop.
3) Restart in Safe Mode.
4) Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32\DllCache, rename uxtheme.dll to uxtheme.dll.bak.
5) Then copy the uxtheme.dll that is on your desktop and paste it into C:\WINDOWS\system32\DllCache.
6) Then Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32, rename uxtheme.dll to uxtheme.dll.bak.
7)Then paste the uxtheme.dll into C:\WINDOWS\system32.
8) Restart the computer.

I recommend using CCleaner alongside TuneUp Utilities 2006; www.tune-up.com - contains a brilliant registry cleaner, as well as a registry defragger, and a much better equivalant to RegSeeker.

Its just such a shame to have all this stuff. Ideally, I would like to properly get rid of these programs:
Outlook
MovieMaker
Windows Messenger
And all these empty folders:
microsoft frontpage
msn gaming zone
xerox
Any help?
Oh, and with nlite, can you just use it as an uninstaller, just select the programs you don't want, and it uninstalls them for you?

Or if you're looking to just get into specific sites (I really don't like messing with proxy's, can cause problems, and some are very unreliable), use this site;

Tried it, it was as I though, central, as my right speak is the only one that works I put volume to the right speaker, but even put to the left it still only has a tiny bit of sound,as I described before.

The settings are all correct as far as I know, though where exactly do I check the L-R balance?
And it is consistent for everything, and it isn't the plug, as I have tried two different pair of speakers....

I don't know the exact time this happened, but its been some time.
Basically, my left speaker will only output noise when I put the volume up to the max (or near max), and even then it isn't very loud at all, whilst the right speaker will outpput noise fine...
Any help? Have tried new speakers in the PC, to no avail, same problem.....

I mean About:Buster, sorry. I do agree, I once had a large peice of spyware and I had to use all the programs that I had to fully get rid of it, so I think I'll take your advice, minus CWShredder as they strongly do not recommend it.

A few other pros as well. The startup and shutdown is a lot quicker, and as Turan just said, it will alert eveything, more things are shown on Outpost to be accessing the internet than ZA.

I do agree that a hardware firewall are better, but Outpost seems to be brilliant. It questions all the things that ZA does, but doesn't slow down the internet as much, and has some very useful plugins (automatically scans for spyware in process' that do something "suspicious").
Just tried Outpost on Shields Up, passed perfectly, so it seems to be a lot better than ZA.

Firefox may have a host more features, and be faster, but I found so many sites that wouldn't work on it, it was mad. With IE7's new features, the ability to view ALL sites, and with TuneUp Utilities Internet Optimizer that speeds up IE loads, I'm gonna be happy enough when IE7 is released.

I did it, spur of the moment kinda thing, and it is worth it. Internet is faster, it is actually easy to customize, despite what others may say, and has loads of really useful plugins. Get it!

In IE go to Tools - Internet Options - Fonts...
Language Script should be "Latin Based"
Web Page Font should be "Microsoft Sans Serif"
Plain Text Font should be "Bitstream Vera Sans Mono"
That should do it....

Is this all from CCleaner? I'm getitng a bit worred wiht using CCleaner considering all the problems these people are getting, I have to admit.
