  1. I had sent this issue in an email to the developers and they asked me to send them a screen shot of HWiNFO which successfully shows CPU temps and GPU temps, hard drive temps, and memory temps……….and the answer that came from the developers was that they have no solution for now…..and they recommend I use HWinfo.
  2. Although, mine has never been the portable one, and the free version is installed on both my desktop and laptop and only the laptop shows me this welcome screen. My desktop, in the past has had the paid version for many years, but then I uninstalled it (I believe using Revo Uninstaller) when it would not stop sending me daily nag screens to renew, even when I still had a month of subscription left (and continued these nags screen, even for months. Uninstalling and downgrading to the FREE version is the ONLY way that I could stop those nag screens (even with multiple emails to tech support…they were not of much help. In any event, this is not a big issue for me…..just curious why the difference between my desktop and laptop….they pretty much have the same software, besides the newer version of windows on thee latter. Thanks for your help.
  3. You are correct. It is not the exact screen, but the same screen with the exception of mine that says “Welcome back to CCleaner”, but the problem is essentially the same I would guess. My Desktop (Windows 10) and my older laptop (which no longer works), for years had NO welcome screen, and yet now, my desktop still has no welcome screen, but my new Laptop (Windows 11), DOES. Other than the fact that it is a new install, over the last week, so was not installed on top of an old version, and the operating system involved….I don’t know much in the way of differences otherwise. To my quick evaluation, I think the settings within the Free version of CCleaner are the same on all three devices,, and most of the software, anti-virus, security, etc are similar on all three….yet only the fresh install gives me that welcome screen. I would have thought that the pro version would not get the advertising on the right side of the screen, but I guess we all get that. None of my versions are the portable version, as far as I know.
  4. In answer to the question above……mine are both not even signed in, and with no license on either. One machine is WIndows 10 (the one that goes directly to the customize cleaning screen)……and the other one is Window 11 (the one that goes to the dumbed down launch/welcome screen) Thanks for your input.
  5. I recently had similar thing happen with my security software……where it ran differently on my desktop and laptop and after calling tech support, it came down to the “send developer analytics” check box. The thing was, it was unchecked on BOTH devices….but for some reason not registering as unchecked on my laptop……so had to run repair on the install….and now both computers work the exact same.
  6. Thanks…yep, that is the screen.
  7. I just posted the similar question…..and someone referred me to your post. I have a desktop with Windows 10 that has had CCleaner on it for >10 years…….at times licensed….but currently not signed in and not licensed. It does NOT get this message. It has been updated regularly over the years as needed when new versions or updated come out. I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 11, and loaded last week CCleaner of the same version as on the desktop (also free version and not signed in) and I have been getting that start screen from your photo. I cannot figure out why I get it on one PC but not the other. I guess if it starts to annoy me, I could try the regedit thing…..but has anyone found any other way to get rid of it?
  8. I do have CUSTOM CLEAN chosen in settings and it is starting on custom clean……but there is a preliminary screen that comes up first…..requiring an extra click to get into the customization screen (that is not on my other computer, with the same version of CCleaner but different operating system (and that one has been updated many times, whereas this one is a fresh install.)). This screen on my laptop os sort of a dumbed down screen that says…..Welcome back to CCleaner. On the left it is has 3 choices…..Run Cleaner……Analyze……or Customize…. Not a big deal…just curious why both computers start on a different CCleaner Custom Clean page?
  9. This is not a big deal, but just curious. On my desktop with free version, Windows 10, my CCleaner has always started on the customize cleaning page, where you can check and uncheck what you want ccleaner to clean. I recently got a new laptop with Windows 11 and installed the same version of CCleaner. I think the startup settings are the same, but the page it starts on is different, giving choices for Run cleaner, Analyze or Customize, where you need to click into the customize page. Any thoughts why it acts differently on my desktop and laptop? Is it the Windows 10 vs 11 thing? Is it a setting I am missing? Is it perhaps that I have updated the desktop from old versions for years and at one point was a subscriber? Or am I missing or not seeing a setting somewhere?
  10. My desktop, which has the latest version of Windows 10, seems to work fine, with Speccy reporting temps for Motherboard, CPU, GPU and all my storage drives (SSD and HDD), but I recently got a new Dell XPS 17 laptop and there are no temps at all shown in Speccy. The laptop has WIndows 11 Home, i9 processor, Nvidia Geoforce 3060, 1 T M2 SSSD. All of these have reported temps when I used another hardware monitoring software…….I guess Pirifom just needs to update their Speccy app? Has anyone found a solution for this issue?
