And we're back!
Let me know if there are any teething issues.

Nope US EST, so... 2pm UK time.
Let's hope it goes smoothly!

The forum will be moving to a new server tomorrow morning 9AM EST.
So it will be out of action for an hour or so.

I forgot to mention we've ordered a nice new server to run the forum on, so hopefully errors will be a thing of the past by next week.

This feature is coming soon...

Hi all,
Over the next week or so (not sure of exact timing) the forum will be redesigned and relocated to forum.piriform.com to better represent the site now we have two titles out. All existing data will remain, so don't worry you won't have to recreate your accounts.

CC v2 programming is under way, so don't worry development of CCleaner (v1 and v2) won't stop with the release of a new title.
MrG

Can you let me have your system specs and I'll look into it.

It's been quite a few months in the works, but we've finally got a new software title ready for beta testing.
Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Windows Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players.
The website will be updated over the next few hours to enable the downloads so head over to:
There will also be a new forum here to discuss it and report any bugs.
Please note this is a beta version and not the final release, so some features have not yet been implemented.

I've changed two cookie settings which should hopefully solve the problem.
The new version of the forum had an additional cookie (enabled by default) which prevented cookie stealing by embedding IP-Location related info. I've disabled this as I don't believe we need the super security.

Okay the forum update is complete!
-
The site is now updated, although the style is remaining to be completed.
I'll sort that out tomorrow morning....

The forum software will be updated this weekend. So you may experience some minor downtime.

Just to let you know a new release will be out shortly that fixes a minor bug in v1.35 which caused the Hotfix uninstaller cleaning to stop working.
MrG
-
Apologies, it should be working now.

I've received confirmation that the latest definitions for Spyware Doctor have fixed this false positive detection. So hopefully this won't happen again.
I'm pretty sure the installer engine (NSIS) creates the uninstaller dynamically during the installation process. So it's not possible to digitally sign this file or guarantee what it's MD5 sig will be.

Hi,
None of the code relating to cleaning the Windows folder of old log files, etc has been changed in the last 6 months or so. If you can provide an example or more details then I can look into it.

Hi,
Can everyone who's having this problem post your system specs, CPU, RAM, OS.
Thanks

Hi all,
Here's the current change log...
v1.35.424
- Fixed IE7 Autocomplete form data cleaning.
- Updated Vista detection routines.
- Added code signing to program executable.
- Fixed bug in Temporary folder detection.
- Fixed some IE7 cookie handling issues.
- Added additional error checking to folder routines.
- Added Paint Shop Pro XI cleaning.
- Updated French translation.
- Minor display fixes.
The download will be up soon, once I've finished final testing.
The IE7 cookie handling is more complicated that I thought so I've updated it to solve some issues, but it may not solve them all.
I thought it's best to release now with the current fixes than force everyone to wait several weeks.

Sure.... good news, current fixes include the environment variables bug and IE7 autocomplete.
