kronckew
Have you checked to see if flash cookies is checked? applications tab - multimedia - adobe flash that doesn't answer the question, it asks another. i also cannot delete firefox cookies. i have adobe flash ticked to answer ident's query. if firefox is running the 'cookies to delete' box is empty. if firefox is not running, it has 110 cookies in it. if i run ccleaner with firefox cookies ticked it says it has deleted those 110 cookies, if i run ccleaner again it does not find any cookies. however if i start firefox (using a blank home page, so it does NOT load any site thus needing, and making, no cookies) then exit firefox and go back to ccleaner, the same 110 cookies are listed in the cookies to delete. i also tried running the comapct databases to see if it was an sqlite glitch. cookies are NOT deleted. i am using win7 ultimate x64, firefox 3.6.5pre, and the current ccleaner 2.31.1153 edited: after doing some more firefox research i find there are 'permanent' cookies you cannot delete. the ones on my pc appear to be opt-out cookies to handle advertising and marketing research spyware cookies. i have added those to my keep list, and will see how ccleaner handles the others. Moderators Nergal Posted May 18, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 18, 2010 Are you using the TACO plugin? if so firefox will recreate those each launch. . . also if it doesn't show them when ff is open it's because ccleaner can't clean or even read ff databases when they are open ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
