CCleaner Not Working

I have been using CC for about three years now. Recently I had to reinstall Windows. After reinstallation, CCleaner will not work. I have tried several solutions - already installed the VB files, already uninstalled and reinstalled CCleaner twice. CCleaner exhibits curious behavior - it analyzes for a very long time, and then suddenly seizes up and crashes. Sometimes the entire system crashes to Blue Screen. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't understand it myself. No unusual activity on this computer. I recently uninstalled .Net 1.1 and installed .Net 2.0. Other than that, there have not been any major changes to my hard drive. All other disk tools continue to work well (ie AdAware, Spybot, Spyware Blaster, AVG etc) Can anyone help????? Thanks in advance for any suggestion or clarifications.

My guess would be bad RAM, because Blue Screen doesn't show up anymore (or atleast not very often ) if your system hardware isn't damaged.

 

Try using memtest86+ for at least 6 passes. Link provided below:
