cowboy357
This is Cowboy's wife - a peer at work sent me a file that I was unable to open, according to my laptop because I don't have the program to open it - I questioned her (briefly) and she said it was a very cool MicroSoft program where you tell it what you need to get gone it and in what time frame, and it makes a schedule for you??? Anyone ever hear of such a thing? And, if so, what the heck is it, and should I get it??? Thank you in advance for any info you can give me!! Mrs. Cowboy!! mps69_1999
This sounds like Gantt chart, it's part of Microsoft Excel. We use them quite a bit at work for projects. IMO they are a complete pain in the neck, but they can keep track of projects when your work in a large team. My Webpage Googletalk

Glenn
If it is an Excel spreadsheet, Excel should open it but it may not function properly without add-ins (Tools > Add-Ins) since some advanced date functions are not part of the default installation. It could also be a Microsoft Project file.
