TheFiresInTheSky
well, i told FF to install its updates after i restarted. i restarted, it installed, then from then on it doesnt load. its also showing in my running processes, firefox.exe. so i uninstalled it and reinstalled it but the same thing happens. FF in "safe mode" doesnt work either. when i uninstalled it, did it uninstall all my bookmarks? i sure hope not ive tried the reboot between installing, after i installed, and every other time there was even a small chance id even need to. FF has been nothing but hell for me. but theres also no way im switching back to IE cuz i hate it and its slow.
Moderators rridgely Posted September 16, 2006 Moderators Share Posted September 16, 2006 No you didn't lose your bookmarks(they are strored in your proflile and thats not deleted on an uninstall). Uninstall it, delete the program folder, and do a issues scan with ccleaner to clean some of it up. Then reinstall it.
Eldmannen
You can also try run Firefox in its "safe mode". You can also delete the profile, it is stored in %userprofile%\Application Data\Mozilla, but back it up, because bookmarks and stuff is there.
