Danny
I'm a new user and want to know what to check/uncheck so that when I run CCleaner my IE favorites will stay in the order I put them, rather then reverting back to alphabetical. Will I lose some function of CCleaner by doing that? Thanks.
TonyKlein
Hi and welcome. I should think that UNchecking "Menu Order Cache" in CCleaner > Windows > Advanced ought to take care of that. ScottG
I have unchecked "Menu Order Cache" plus everything else under "Advanced" section. IE 7 still does not keep the Favorites in the order I select. CCleaner is still removing the saved order. Any other suggestions?
Moderators hazelnut Posted November 3, 2006 Moderators Share Posted November 3, 2006 Hello ScottG and welcome to the forum. I have IE 7 and my favourites are saved in alphabetical order okay. In ccleaner under windows I don't have "delete index.dat files" or "autocomplete form history" ticked Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
ScottG
Thank you for the welcome. I have uncheck EVERYTHING under Cleaner Settings on both Windows and Applications tabs. I go and arrange my Favorites, exit IE, start IE, and Favorites are still in the order I selected, and exit IE. Again, I start IE and Favorites are in the order I set. Exit IE. I then go to CCleaner1.34 and click 'Run Cleaner', start IE, and Favorites have lost the order I set, reverting back to alphabetical. Apparently, CCleaner is clearing something even though EVERYTHING is unchecked. What else is CCleaner doing? How do I fix it? Thanks!
