avigor
Several times now, CCleaner has been launching on boot despite my Task Manager has it set to disabled. Why is this happening? How is this happening? CCleaner is not authorized to do this as far as I know, or at least I never chose to give it some sort of root kit permission or whatever to bypass the startup settings. I looked through the CCleaner settings, I don't even see a startup option, at all, only auto updates, skip user account control, etc. Suffice to say, I am not amused by this. Moderators Nergal Posted May 12, 2023 Moderators Share Posted May 12, 2023 Turn off auto update and smart monitor then it won't start ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
