It would cause some sites not to load correctly(hp site and a few others). Maybe try switching to adblock: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/10/ The only difference is that adblock dosen't automatically install filters but thats what filterset g updater is for. For whatever reason all the pages adblock plus messed up adblock does not. So its worth a try. If that dosen't work try exporting your bookmarks and then make a new profile.
