RrrDdd
I run driver updater. I'm told 13 drivers need updating. I tell it to go ahead. I receive an error that 13 drivers were not updated. I hit "OK" then see "All drivers updated." When I run it again I'm told that two drivers need updating, but when I check details, the versions I have installed are the newest ones. No details or other info. This is the main reason I upgraded to pro. Have tried multiple times over the past few weeks. I always get this confusing mess. Admin Azra CCleaner Posted October 26, 2021 Admin Share Posted October 26, 2021 IHi @RrrDdd n some cases, a newer driver may actually have a smaller version number. This is because different manufacturers use different numbering ranges. For example, for a Intel device on Windows 10, the version of a default Microsoft driver can be 10.0.19041.1 (date: 06/21/2006), but the newer driver supplied by Intel may have a driver version 9.4.0.1025 (date 07/31/2013). The Intel driver is preferred because its release date has a higher priority.
