pety98
Hello! I want to report a bug with latest versions. CCleaner freezes, when I go to settings. I noticed this in CCleaner v5.46. Today I updated it to the 5.47 version, and I hoped it will be solved. So i went in to the settings, and I started to clicking through settings, and after the third click, It's freezed again. Now, I installed an older version, 5.42, and now I can click 1 thousand times on any settings, It's working, not freezing. So I think the latest versions have this bug, at least for me. I don't know exactly from which version, but for the time being I use the older 5.42 version. I have Windows 10 1803. Thanks!
Moderators Nergal Posted October 18, 2018 Moderators Share Posted October 18, 2018 Can you run a debug mode and attach a log of the freeze (on newer version of course). I don't know if it'll tell us anything but it's worth a look. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. pety98
After 2 days after using the older version, now I installed again the 5.47. Now I'm unable to reproduce the error. But If I will expreience the problem again, I will try the debug mode. Thank you!
