kenrou
Been a user of CCleaner for a while now. No real problems until suddenly today, after analyzing then choosing the clean, the window just automatically shuts. It does not do this with any other functions, just when attempting to clean, the window shuts without any input or progress after clicking clean. The CCleaner process still exists on the task bar, but that's all there is. It doesn't actually clean video data, empty the recycle bin, etc.
Moderators Nergal Posted June 6, 2018 Moderators Share Posted June 6, 2018 What antivirus do you use, this has similarities as a bug which is caused by antivirus. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Paulo Dantas
I have the same problem. When I chose the Clean, the software shuts. I use Kaspersky anti virus. I stopped the antivirus, but the Ccleaner doen't work.
Moderators Nergal Posted June 6, 2018 Moderators Share Posted June 6, 2018 That's what I thought. Kaspersky has a current bug that's doing this. Make sure you've updated Kaspersky (I believe it's to 19 (g) but I don't use Kaspersky myself) You'll find the rest of the solution here ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
