jbsjbs
I'm having a hard time determining whether a purchase of Pro Plus: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/pro-plus allows me to use the software forever, including updates for a year. Or whether the license expires in a year and I'd need to purchase again to continue using it. And separately, is there a portable version of CCleaner Professional included with ProPlus as well? Thanks!
Moderators Nergal Posted May 28, 2018 Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2018 You can keep using ccleaner after the year but will have to be manually updated. The license is indeed a year of updates and direct developer priority support. You can make pro portable by moving the branding.dll to your portable folder ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. jbsjbs
Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and purchased. This might be more appropriate as a new topic but interestingly the download link I was given via Cleverbridge after purchasing the ProPlus bundle seems to have installed 2016 versions of everything. I'm now having to manually download and update each one. Maybe the bundle installer doesn't get updated regularly?
Moderators Nergal Posted May 28, 2018 Moderators Share Posted May 28, 2018 How weird, i'll pass that on to the developers. jbsjbs
The file name was CCleanerBundle-1116-Setup.exe (and come to think of it I believe the versions were in fact November 2016 versions) and the MD5 checksum on the file is 4F4F34EE37AA1FE07E2A98320802389F for what it's worth.
