How do you force CCleaner to update to the latest version?

I've noticed that even with the registered Pro version, CCleaner does not automatically update to the latest version unless you open it, wait a minute, close it, then re-open it, at which point it updates.  This is with all of the "auto update" options turned on, "silent background checks", etc.

I'm trying to force a way for it to automatically update on our PC's around the office, such as with a .bat file that I can run on all of them that flag the /update check, however I'm not having any luck.  Even running CCleaner64.exe /update from the command line doesn't update it.  I have to physically open the program, close it, and re-open it for it to update.  I can't rely on my users to do this and would like to do it for them.  Anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks!
