CCleaner doesn't clear FF Internet Cache

Hi Guys,

since the newest update v5.37.6309(64bit) CCl. doesn't clear FF 58.0b4 Internet-Cache and Windows log-data.....

Running first time it shows "0 bytes".

Running again it shows FF Internet Cache 225 KB 2 files but 0 bytes after cleaning.

Only after closing CCleaner and restarting it shows FF Internet Cache and windows logfiles  in the analysis and then actually removes them.

Since it works the second time i think this is more a CCl.-issue than a FF or beta-problem......

Any ideas?

Thx. max

I guess the Dev team would be reluctant to investigate anything that deals with Beta versions.

but who knows, they will see this and maybe treat it as a 'heads up'.

Understandable.......yet similar story with FF 57.0 (64bit)......even after cleaning several times or restarting CCl. several times " Internet Cache 225 KB 2 files" keeps showing up.

All running on a Toshiba Satellite Notebook with Win 8.1.

in CC, instead of hitting Run Cleaner, hit Analyse, and when completed, double click the entry for Firefox - Internet Cache.

post a screen shot of what those 2 stubborn files are.

Those look like database files so it may be that what you are seeing is the size of the empty database.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
