element22
I just reinstalled Win, including a fresh copy of CCleaner. I'm trying to recover my old list of "good" cookies from my old CCleaner install. I have a backup of all relevant folders (AppData/Local, AppData/Roaming, ProgramData etc), but I can't find anything under "Piriform" or "CCleaner". Does anyone now where CCleaner stores its "good" cookie list and if it's recoverable? (PS: now I know I can "Export" and "Import" good cookies from CCleaner, but I didn't do it before the re-install).
Moderators Nergal Posted February 27, 2017 Moderators Share Posted February 27, 2017 Unless you explicitly tell ccleaner to store settings in ini, settings are stored in the registry. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
