slimeslayer
I have a external harddrive on which my files "disappeared" (literally was moving some files around and next thing.... all gone) This is a drive i use on my media player for video. So i ran the deep scan and it found 2200+ files. But I noticed that it only listed like 650 which were all mp4 and avi files. It didn't list any of the mkv video files. Is there a way to get those files back? Also, I have started to recover the 600 that it found. Does use the same space to recover them on? or do i run the risk of overwriting the other missing files..?? Thanks
Moderators Nergal Posted October 20, 2016 Moderators Share Posted October 20, 2016 You have a big risk of overwriting the files if you are writing to the source partition at all, you really should recover to a different drive. Can't answer the rest, sorry to say. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
