alex31
Hi, I'd like to know if if portable version of Ccleaner needs admin rights to find and delete more staff (also I'm aware of not to breach my system with extended feature) or is it ok to leave it normal? Moderators Nergal Posted February 16, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 16, 2016 Yes ccleaner always needs elevated privilages to run, portable or not There is not any cleaning differences between installed and portable. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. Moderators Nergal Posted February 17, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 17, 2016 Are you on vista or newer windows? If so ccleaner already should request Admin privileges (UAC popup) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
