Papaboard
Why doesn't CCleaner delete the content of the following files?: C:\Documents and Settings\USER NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\History and C:\Documents and Settings\USER NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Favicons These clearly show browser history in detail or in a general sense in the case of the Favicons. Moderators Nergal Posted February 8, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 8, 2016 Currently a bug is in ccleaner with the latest chrome, this may be the issue here. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
