palmer123
Every time I run CCleaner Firefox Sync is disconnected. Then I have to reconnect sync. I have CCleaner 5.13.5460 (64 bit) installed and Firefox 44.0.I have Windows 10 version 1511, OS Build 10586.63 installed. I also run Windows Insider Build 11102. This problem repeats on both of my drives (I have a dual drive PC). This is a simple problem for me to fix but there should be a permanent fix for this problem. Moderators Nergal Posted January 28, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 28, 2016 I believe the issue stems from having one or the other of site preferences or sessions checked off under firefox on ccleaner's applications tab ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. palmer123
Thanks for the advice, Nergal. Just to make sure that I understand what you are telling me is that I should not have sessions or site preferences checked off on the Firefox applications tab on both drives.? Moderators Nergal Posted February 3, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 3, 2016 By drives do you mean separate systems? Or just one windows with two drives? If the latter than ccleaner only cleans the location of your firefox profile the 2nd drive wouldn't come into play at all. palmer123
I have a Dell L701 X laptop with two drives. One is a SSD running Windows 10 version 1511, OS Build 10586.71 (Windows 10 Pro).. The other is a regular HDD running the Windows Insider Preview Builds. Both have CCleaner installed. Are they conflicting with each other? Attached are screenshots of my CCleaner installations. Thanks for the help!
Moderators Nergal Posted February 4, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 4, 2016 No there should be no conflict unless they both use the same location for firefox profile. Uncheck session and the issue may go away ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
