fireonthewater
Okay I have a question about CCleaner and I can't find an adequate place to post it, so here goes. Sorry if it's in the wrong spot. When I run CCleaner on my home laptop, why are a majority of the files (like 90%) to be deleted come from MIcrosoft Explorer, when I do not even use that program as my web browser? I just find this odd and wonder if it's normal. Thanks for your help...........
Moderators Andavari Posted January 4, 2016 Moderators Share Posted January 4, 2016 Actually your system is using it all the time, even if you never open it yourself. Some programs require it to function (such as some antivirus, etc.,) and use the Temporary Internet Files ("cache") for updating, etc., some will even set Cookies using IE's engine.
