index.dat
For several years I used the Registry Cleaner part of CCleaner successfully on Windows XP Professional with all selections checked except Unused File Extensions. My new computer has Windows 7 Professional, so I am wondering if the same selections are appropriate.
Moderators Nergal Posted May 30, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 30, 2015 My advice is to follow the advice in my signature. Just because you have previously not been bitten by the (proverbial) snake does not make snakes un-dangerous ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
