keeperofthecode
is there a way to tell recuva to only recover the green dot files that it knows it can recover without going through and deselecting all the orange and red ones? Thanks
keeperofthecode
Also, do the files retain their original time stamp?
Moderators Augeas Posted March 22, 2013 Moderators Share Posted March 22, 2013 You could sort the results by right clicking and selecting sort on State, then highlight the greenies, then recover highlighted. I don't think that the time stamps are maintained as Recuva will create new files in its recovery process.
Alan_B
I have just tested v1.44 and recovered a file that was presented as being last modified 16/02/2013 21:38 Windows Explorer shows the recovered file as having the file properties Created 16 February 2013, 21:38:40 Modified 16 February 2013, 21:38:40 Accessed 16 March 2013, 21:58:11 It is probable that the latest version of Recuva will also force Windows to use the original time stamps on the restored file and not the current date and time. Moderators Augeas Posted March 22, 2013 Moderators Share Posted March 22, 2013 By Jove you're right, Alan, I wonder how Recuva does that?
