charley7529
am using the latest version of CCleaner and have used ccleaner for a number of years. With the last two versions, the time required to analyze and clean is unacceptable. For example, just ran the program and it took 2603 seconds (43 minutes!!) to clean 157 MB. I am running 64 bit win 7 and swiched from IE to Chrome because I had heard some cleaning of IE was causing the delay. No such luck ...... anyone have a solution? Moderators Andavari Posted March 4, 2013 Moderators Share Posted March 4, 2013 To rule out 3rd party add-ons causing you issues if you have CCEnhancer or the winapp2.ini file installed remove them to see if that fixes the issue. If the above info doesn't pertain to you and If you've been installing CCleaner over previously installed versions you may need to reset it to default settings, here's how: 1. Start CCleaner. 2. Click Options -> Advanced -> Restore default settings 3. Close CCleaner, and start it again to see if it operates at an acceptable speed.
