Tecopa09
Not sure this is really a bug, so I thought I would post here. Apologies if I'm not in the right area. Just installed some DDR3 RAM, Speccy seems to have nailed most everything right about it except for the Latency Timings. The RAM I have installed is Corsair (Model: CMX12GX3M3A1333C). I couldn't find the spec sheet for this RAM on the Corsair website (what a mess). But the Latency Timings are clearly shown to be 9-9-9-24 here: http://www.frys.com/product/6482282 and http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820145332 Speccy sees the Latency Timings of this RAM as: 8-8-8-20 (I wish it was this fast). Output from Speccy: Summary Operating System MS Windows 7 64-bit SP1 CPU Intel Core i7 960 @ 3.20GHz 48 °C Bloomfield 45nm Technology RAM 24.0 GB Triple-Channel DDR3 @ 531MHz (8-8-8-20) Motherboard DELL Inc. 0X501H (CPU 1) 34 °C Graphics SMBX2431 (1920x1080@60Hz) 1024MB GeForce GT 220 (nVidia) 56 °C Hard Drives 1954GB Western Digital WDC WD20EARS-00MVWB0 (SATA) 40 °C 1465GB Western Digital WDC WD1502FYPS-02W3B0 (SATA) 39 °C Optical Drives TSSTcorp DVD-ROM TS-H353B TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-H653G Audio Realtek High Definition Audio The Speccy RAM module reports this: CAS# Latency (CL) 8 clocks RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 8 clocks RAS# Precharge (tRP) 8 clocks Cycle Time (tRAS) 20 clocks Slot #1 Type DDR3 Size 4096 MBytes Manufacturer Corsair Max Bandwidth PC3-10700H (667 MHz) Part Number CMX12GX3M3A1333C9 SPD Ext. Winapp2.ini
You may have to actually set the timings in the BIOS. I had to do the same to achieve 9-9-9-24 when it was setting it differently. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
