markshim Posted October 12, 2011 Share Posted October 12, 2011 hi guys, i am trying to exclude my folder that has all my movies in it coz it just takes hours for defraggler to defrag all the time. i have put already put the folder in the exclude list but defraggler is still saying that i have fraggments and is still reading the folder? the folder is in C/users/name/videos its now saying i have 100gb fragmented and taking ages to do anything? any help plz Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Winapp2.ini Posted October 12, 2011 Share Posted October 12, 2011 Try going into Defraggler's settings and selecting to save the settings to an ini file. Then, re-add your movies folder to the exclusion list. markshim Posted October 12, 2011 Author Share Posted October 12, 2011 no i haven`t done it yet, i don`t kown what doing the ini file thing does really. i have right clicked on the movies folder and started to defrag just that folder at the moment to see if that helps . . . Moderators DennisD Posted October 12, 2011 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2011 Normally, program settings are stored in registry entries, but choosing the "ini file" option means they are saved to a kind of text file, which you can edit, or maybe copy to another location to back up your settings.
